  • Wow, now that's a vocal band. Incredible!!!!

  • I've always loved this song...but as I get older, the more I relate to it, and the more comfort I find in it.

  • I love this song. I used to sing this with my mother and sisters. Reminds me of home

  • Do you have victory is sweet?

  • @spradlin19 not from the Primitives. I have it on my page from the Cookes.

  • what genre is this? Thx for the beautiful song = )

  • I grew up just a few miles where these boys used to live... This song has been sung in the mountains for years in the churches by families. At Laurel Chapel Baptist Church , the Carver sisters used to sing this song and it would make you weep... Linda, Brenda, Ann, and Cleva you were always a blessing...

  • A favorite of mine!!!! Thank you.

  • @mustanglovr2005 this is one of my favorite songs also, I used to sing in a group and we would sing this at funerals, people that had never heard this song would tell me that is the most sweetest song they had ever heard, and comforting, God Richly Bless ever one,, Bess

  • Mighty Fine! Mighty Fine!

    Thanks so much,

    Sam

  • good song

  • Is "Light at the River" available? I have the sheet music but not the cd.

  • I think I have it on tape, but I don't believe I have it on cd, sorry.

  • @sloopjohnb324

If there is any way to post "Light at the River" I sure would love to hear it but if not that's still OK, I'll just enjoy what is available. I have sung it several times but not nearly as good as they do.

    Thanks

  • What a beautiful, comforting song. I remember this fro 35-40 years ago.

    Thanks....God Bless.

  • Thanks for listening

  • One of my favorites

  • Thank you for Sharing. I plan on being there Saturday.

  • The Primitives are awesome... I'm going to see them on Saturday September 26th 2009 in McMinnville TN at Cumberland Valley Nursury on Shaffie Lane.. Everyone is welcome, Bar-B-Q is provided, and there is no admission price!! Ya'll come!

  • What time ? Love them

  • Wow, this is some great harmony. I love this song. I had never heard it before either. May God bless you for sharing these great songs with us. 5 *****. A great message in this song, so Beautiful.

    Darlene

  • Thanks, their harmony is incredible; so cool that three of them are brothers, and the others are old friends. Great to see a group stay together like they have.

  • @sloopjohnb324 might want to check out Ralph Stanley's version of this also....Ralph may be getting old but still kicks a capella songs.

  • @docsavage98 These boys are from Foster from where I grew up... you want find that kinda music anywhere but in the moutntains of Western NC

  • We sing the same way here in South Central Kentucky without music, just harmony. There is nothing like the Old Time way of singing. But more and more people are going to that modern gospel. It just isn't heart felt.

  • Another great song!!!

    Keep them coming!!!

    Mark

  • Okay, I'll try to keep posting more. I got a little carried away with the songs from their other cd. I think I posted all but two of the songs on the cd. Hope that doesn't hurt their cd sales.
