  • @Dumblikeyoutu dude...you don't know what ur talkin about. crap vw's (or any respectable car marque) will never sell crap cars in EU cause they won't sell any (unless they cost less than a decent beer). VW's are cheaper in USA than in EU, but if you ask me we are still getting a better deal

  • cool hair

  • i bought one of these and its been a great car ive put 30,000 miles on it in 8 months.

  • @posro1988 your right man you guys have good bikes too i live in canada so it is not that bad.

  • @hyperpunjabi Yeah, but it's Canada so who cares?

  • lose the nose ring honey, you look like a cow with it in.

  • NOT JEDA !!! jetta is pronounced ieta, ieta, ieta, ieta, not so hard, in EU is pronunced ieta, "j" is "i" from latin, and in Europe we say ieta.

  • @SparkySlow That's funny, because in both America and the UK, the car is marketed as the "Jetta" with a J, and even in Deutschland herself the car is pronounced "Jetta" with a J. Just because it is pronounced "Ieta" in your tiny country does not make the rest of the world who pronounces it differently wrong.

  • @SparkySlow No way,,in Europe we say Jetta. We use the J from Johanesberg not the i from injection !!

  • mulher arara

  • yeah... usa model suck... most models... thats why i like european models

  • I love the way how the Americans spell Volkswagen :)

    Greetz from Germany! :)

  • Hi Emme. Great review!

  • i love this girl!!! drive it like you stole it!!!

  • Whats a Toyota Corolla?

  • I am starting to worm up to this car and liking it little by little every day, but still concern about it's reliablity. Last time I had a VW I had problems.....but that was long long ago.

  • The hard plastic does not bother me. it still seems high quality. some of the materials in my old jetta started to fade and peel a little since I tend to keep cars for a very long time. I think these will look better as the car ages. As far as the suspension goes the car feels solid and handels well, honestly the suspension on my old one was pretty bad by the time I got rid of it. it was a 2001 w/ a lot of miles, I'm not sure what type of suspension the MK4 had.

  • Every car I've ever owned has been a Jetta, This is the nicest one i've had by far. the 2.5 liter 5cyl engine is a huge improvement over the 115hp 4cyl engine on the older jettas i've had.

  • @jxrst9 how does it feel now that the independent rear suspensions gone? And does any of the "hard" plastics bother you? because past cars i've had (some from the chrysler group) the plastics were very unpleasing.

  • So... you're saying it's the peoples car by reducing quality? VW FAILED with the new Jetta, sorry.

  • The looks and German engineering were a plus for me, too. I think lots of today's cars have one or two design elements that are screwy and make the rest of the car look weird.

  • I think the SEL is an amazing value if you want to buy the car and keep it for a while-for around 24k you get leather seats, a navigation system, etc. I couldn't find many other cars that offer that many features to the dollar. Almost made me wish I could afford to buy rather than lease.

  • why is a women driving?

  • I love her lederhosen inspired outfit! ha ha reviewing a german car and wearing that sound of music jacket ! =)

  • @tewkewl

Thank you for noticing. It was totally on purpose! Next German car I get to review I'll try to wear the little hat too!

    -Emme

  • !6k for 115hp! Hell naw A 05' Civic Lx has 115hp and this car is 2x bigger! I would perfect getting the SE model!

  • i wish they had kept the high quality interior materiols but to be honest it doesnt look that bad its pretty good for a hard plastic one

  • She must be a vegan.

  • '.- GO EMME...!!!

  • On the info it says 4 cylinder isnt it a 5 cylinder!??

  • @tepeke88 Its called a mistake, they happen sometimes.

  • 16.000 dollars? Wow, thats cheap. Ffs in Europe, it costs double

  • is it 4 wheel drive

  • @123kensi yeah and theres a locking differential for heavy duty stuff

  • You should really do a review on the 2011 Accord Coupe. Will appreciate it.

  • 2 out of my 4 cars have been VWs. My first was on 03 Jetta that I loved... very sporty, yet very nice amenities. Next was an 05 VW Passat GLX. By far my favorite car I ever had, possibly ever will own. Unfortunately for me... I was in an accident an my precious Passat was totaled. Also unfortunately for me, just as this happened VW decided to start cheapening down their vehicles and trying to make them more like Toyotas and Nissans....not my thing. So I went with a 2012 Ford Focus. :(

  • Man i love the 2011 jetta wish i can at least test drive it! :) i heard negative shit about it but i dont think the car is bad!!! Is it really?? Ps i love how this chick says hollaaaaaaa!!! :)

  • @tepeke88 It's not a bad car;it's better than a Corolla or Civic(which now isn't saying much). However, in VW's attempt to make the Volkswagen cheaper they have stripped it of the strong suits. The interior is cheap and it's handling prowess is a little more sedate. This is still a good car; but compared to the Chevy Cruze, Hyundai Elantra, Ford Focus, Mazda 3 and arguably the Kia Forte, this new Jetta is left in the dust.

  • You should come to Brazil and test the our TFSI version. Although thay are also made in Mexico, I believe we are the only market that receives the new model - 2011 - with TSFI engine (211hp) and DSG transmission - but we pay more than U$50k for it :(

  • Emme I love your hair..!!! But this Jetta is great it rides rly nice & the transmission is rly flexible which I like b/c it allows you to drive it according to the mood you're in. As far as interior build quality, I wouldn't have noticed if wasn't hadn't pointed it out there was a difference in materials from the last model.

  • You hear the odd industry plant saying VW is unreliable...etc..etc. I have a 1995 GTI VR6...270 000 kms, never a problem with it, I had 12 VW's, never a problem. Had a leak in a 1984 Rabbit (due to rust) that dripped right onto the electrical box....car always ran perfect tho!!!!

  • She likes saying "Hollaa"

  • Comment removed

  • Quite the contrast to the pure venom spitting bile filled Consumer Reports take. To Consumer Reports if a VW is not layered with luxury lard then it is instantly attacked with the purest hate available. The Jetta is large, cheaper, lighter and more efficient now... some people like their lard though.

  • I can't tell if the color is black or gray...

  • I just bought a TDI model and they are definately sweet. I went 550 miles before needing to fuel and it cost me only $60 to fill at $4.19 a gallon for Diesel. I recomend it to anyone.

  • another female viewer ... off I go.

  • Surprisingly, there a 2 different navigation options for this car, kind of like a business nav in Europe, so. It all amounts to only 20k, which I think is great for what your getting

  • This really isn't on par with what I've come to expect from vw, but I guess it's still good value for your money now?

  • will you review the TDI version in the near future??

  • @cminks1987 I have a TDI its great I went 550 miles on a full tank of Diesel, then when I did fill up it cost me $60 @ $4.19 a gallon. The Diesel is pretty quite too, but dont be mistaken you know its got a diesel outside of the car. You can clearly hear the knocking of the Diesel but it doesnt sound like a 1ton pick up or anything.

  • Here in South America the cost is US Dollar 30,000 why that diference of cost to USA.. the origin of the car is the same I guess... I do not understand this economy global world.. great review..!!

  • She's an awesome car review girl.. definitely love her. Lol

  • oh oh oh cool baby Greetings from Russia

  • 0:20 prove that some people buys anything from VW... its like Apple fanboys, they'll buy anything vanilla as long as it's VW.

  • @jsiszero

I'm actually a huge VW fan, but I do know a terrible design choice when I see one. I definitely think VW effed up on this new version of one of their greatest cars.

  • 16000$ ??? fuck USA. Why cars in USA cost much more few then in soviet russia

  • @exceilence the versions sold in "soviet" russia and the rest of europe are better equipped with more standard kit and better materials. They cheapened the Jetta for the North American market so you pay more for quality.

  • @tokyokurisu ok, thanks, now I know it.

  • 16000$ ??? fuck USA. Why cars in USA cast much more few then in soviet russia

  • i don't know if the style is realy for "americans" but it's not bad, but a bit ... how to say? there's no punch! For the golf, ... there is not a lot of them sold. there is "not a lot" of diference between them, but the kind of "sedan" or the "break" one, style and space. nut it seem a good car for long travel like canada and usa etc. roads they have. finaly, even if the start price is low, with options the price goes up fast :S

  • @Mykhos Indeed you are right about that one, the TDI I bought had a manufacturers sugested retail at $28,000. All this for low profile tires and a navigation system. But it is a really nice car and the Diesel is fairly quiet.

  • WTF, just $24K for jetta

    germany steals

  • ummmmm i can get a sonata for that price mmmmmmm......witch one to get.....WEL OBVIUS

  • I`ll better buy golf from germany

  • I am a fan of VW period but the styling's of the new Jetta,...... Why? How is that style going to compete with other vehicles, in or out of class? I like the new GTI, Tiguan, Touareg and others. The new Jetta is so plane jane, economical cookie cutter-ish,. Why Lord? Ok, venting over. Well I know it will be more stylish soon and i'm glad some of you like it. P.S. Trade it in for the CC OR GTI....

  • thanks, i wonder if the quality is same as german made?

  • Oh and another thing This Jetta model is worst than the previous one, i mean cheaper, the previous one was a better quality car. They step down the jetta to put it on american market

  • @mqmqmwmw Why don't you learn the english language before criticizing our taste?

  • @CarTours101 I will improve my english when you learn at least one word in other language , american ignorant.

  • @mqmqmwmw As a matter of fact, I am fairly fluent in several various languages. Also, I am not American, I am Canadian, and I am certainly not ignorant.

  • @CarTours101 So I dont know why you said "our taste" when I was referring to the american taste.

Don't get involve in this if I was not talking to you man.

  • @mqmqmwmw You do have a point. However, some of my family is from the US, so there for, you offend theme you offend me.

  • I dont give a shit if this car or the Corolla or Civic are confortable or nice to drive if when you get off the car you see a Fucking ugly car.

  • Dont you realize what VW is doing with their cars ????

This is an old Audi A4 model, that is what VW is doing with all their line. The future Jetta will be the actual A4, The actual VW Golf use Audi Engines and VW is sharing their Audi motors with their VW models

ALL the VW designs are Fugly, thats a fact, I see this car like a 90 car design

  • You americans has no good taste in cars, in chicks neither

  • Good Job Emmy! You are a better reviewer than the last honey.

  • I miss Jesse

  • I really really like this car. I am due for a new car, and appreciate the thorough review! Great Job!

  • lmao my gym teachers jetta cost him $400 for tranny fluid change apparentlly its got some computer work to do after each major maintaince. i changed my evo's tranny fluid in 30min with a bucket and 40$ of fluid.

  • where is this made? in mexico? or brazil?

  • @Rico8458 its assembled in mexico

  • Very informative review with points that are relevant to most consumers. Thanks!

  • Survey says, yes, it's $10K less than last year...but you get $10K less than last year. Looks pretty cool.

  • jetta review: good, fuel efficient fun car reviewer review: leggy, sexy and informative

  • I gotta say Roadfly is the only channel that I follow that so far I like all the reviewers. Seen Jessi, one guy and Emme (for me is new). I like the honest way they give professional yet personal opinions. Don't really go crazy for the new styling of the Jetta and the interior looks a little bland but hey VW wants to compete harder & stronger against Honda/Toyota then this will work. Not to mention that it now uses a torsion beam suspension.

  • I would make that ass CLAP!

  • @edmvr6

My good man, this comment begs the question: would my ass would give you a standing ovation? ;)

    -Emme

  • I wonder why VW made the 6speed manual the most expensive its actually more work to drive it than a automatic?

  • Lets face it she's a lot better than Jessi. Jessi is just hotter that's all which matters a little. lol

  • This is the most informatively thorough and entertaining car review I have ever seen! Thank you Roadfly and Emma! Keep 'em coming!

  • this chick is mad funny ! cool review. I like

  • * Tons of flavor to the review :-). "Drive it like you stole it" ... "unicorns and rainbows" ... "4 laundry baskets"... "wind it up" :-) ... heated seats around my house, etc.

*. Good review. Part entertaining (personal tidbits) and useful INSIGHT, not just reading a spec.

*. Better? --> Character is there. So less specs and more insight. * Ex. @3:23 "fuel economy as tested is..." ? What, really, um AS TESTED so what was the combined over the week?

  • @robertk2010

Good call on the gas mileage, Robert. I've already shot the next review, but I'll include the manufacturer's mpg predictions AND the average I got while doinking around town for the next-next review.

    -Emme

  • Nice review.....

  • Great job Emme. Good review - and reviewer!

  • I watch car reviews for....CARS...not short skirts and blond hair. She is much more natural and knowledgeable than Jessi's seemingly memorized presentation.

  • Good review, no doubt its a good car but very boring on the styling front in my opinion.

  • She is a very good reviewer....

  • cheaper cus its made in the us, the people want a german machine made in germany! if u want a cheap car buy a kia or honda

  • @dentonbrowne VW now has part ownership in Kia.. notice how the kia spactra (or whatevewr the cars name is lol) looks quite similar tothe jetta. so i'd say get a toyota n honda lol

  • @Anwezzy21 really? ugh vw officially sucks lol, i didnt see a kia that looks like a jetta but that suzuki kashasi looks like a vw in the front and i think they share engines, is it suzuki ur talking bout? yea id say buy a honda, toyota needs a bad ass coupe cus they suck rite now

  • @ChronicEye

Why does being a confident woman with short hair and a love of cars automatically make her gay? She's just a no nonsense kind of gal, who would probably get into a bar fight but still let her guy open the door for her. Now, do you have any comments on the car?

  • @0713topher She probably is, let me honest. But who cares. I like her. She's whitty, knows what she's talking about, and seems to have a great personality. And it doesn't hurt that she has a certain sex appeal.

  • nothing against emma, but... jessi is just that girl......

  • I like Emme. I lhink she is funny without trying to be to much. She was informative and i like how she presented the information. I like Jessi too. But Emme was better in my eyes. Job well done Emme.

  • No more:

    Independent rear suspension

    Rear disc brakes

    Hood strut

    Non-obstructive trunk hinges

    Adjustable arm rest

    Fuel and temperature gauge

    Washer fluid light

And a few other things I can't remember. It's not just the hard plastic dash that brought the price down.

  • @policeman1313 wow, even its cheaper competition like Toyota, Honda, Ford, and GM have those things! (Except maybe the hinges)

  • @bottomlayer True, but I'd still buy a Jetta over any american or Japanese competitor. It's still better in many areas, for instance its body is made with galvanized steal and welded roof to c-pillar. The interior is also the nicest, and you can't really beat the performance/efficiency of the TDI engine.

  • @policeman1313 how about reliability? Not only is VW already the worst (even at their previously high prices), how good do you think they;'ll be at a 25% discount? And on top of that, VW requires special fluids for everything as well.

If VW wants to be the #1 car company, they need to up their reliability and use parts and fluids that are sold in stores.

The TDI is great, and the only reason I'd ever consider VW, but as soon as a better company sells diesel over here they're done

  • @bottomlayer You sir obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Look at the latest stats form Consumer reports. They are being recommended and are getting very reliable ratings. May not be as good as Honda or Toyota, but they are doing way better than most. We own a TL and a CIVC still in our house, and have owned many Nissans. We have had a bunch of issues with the CIVIC and the TL for the most part has been solid. The Nissan's, can't say the same as they were worse.

  • @NIZMOZ44 consumerreports knows nothing, my dad works at a vw dealer they are not reliable... there nice though

  • @steve9509 Laugh. Well you say that consumer reports is not reliable? But they take reviews from everyone who actually owns the car and puts it together for us to see? Sorry. I am on other forums with VW owners, and especially the MK6 GTI is one of the most reliable cars you can own.

  • @bottomlayer Mazda's Skyactive Diesel engine will obliterate the TDIs. The mazda has almost none of diesel's disadvantage while making the "zoom zoom" better

  • @bottomlayer Seriously couldn't have said it better myself! lol...the only casr I will ever consider buying (and seriously considering) from VW are their diesels (specifically the tdi). But since the cruze diesel is coming out in a about a year or so I might just wait for that...

  • @grkchick I meant jetta tdi =]

  • @bottomlayer I'm not sure why VW may be unrealiable in the US but they are reliable cars in europe, and with all the other VW brands (skoda, seat) parts can be taken from these brands in some cases. gonna be a while before others catch on with vw TDI. VW passat bluemotion in europe did 1,527 miles on 1 tank of fuel 77 litres. VW/Audi group is way ahead, i own a 16 year old VW polo 1.4 had 2 probs in 16 years, thermostate broke, driver side lock snapped, and that's it in 16 years. 95,000 miles

  • @SuicidalLooney They're horrible here for realiablity.

  • WHERE IS JESSI ??????

  • @maseratiquattroport WHO WAS PHONE????????

  • OK Emme, I'm on your side. But I still love Jessi. By the way, nice boots.

Have you considered how many bodies could fit in a trunk instead of laundry baskets? Depending on who you are, that may come in handy.

  • OK Emme, I'm on your side. But I still love Jessi.

  • not as pretty as jessi, but a lot more entertaining

  • Excellent review Emme!!! great job!

  • If this is her first time reviewing a car, you would never know it. She was very articulate, informative and she had great style in her presentation. I enjoyed the review and hope she gets a chance to review more vehicles. I think she would be really good with reviewing some big trucks or SUV's. Let's see more of her!!

  • Keep it up. Congrats.

  • Great first video and congrats on landing the job! This girls got character! BUT I STILL LOVE JESSI

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for all your positive comments everyone! Hopefully we'll get another review up soon.

    -Emme

  • Much love from New York! Drive it like you stole it.

  • i prefer civic over this jetta

  • Roadfly chose another amazing reviewer! I would love to see her in more reviews :D ! Kudos to her!

  • I love you youthful review...

  • Great host!

  • THIS IS REALLY GOOD!

  • so pink does car reviews now?? nice :D

  • @jreyes30 Good one:)

  • she is so hot and she talks car o my god i think im in love. o yeah so is the car too or maybe not. (i think)

  • Comment removed

  • my comment is ur hotter than the car.

  • Great review... "Sunroof...HOLLA" LOL! Best part!

  • I like this presenter! I personally would never drive a VW but her presentation makes me actually consider the Jetta as a viable alternative. I like how she feels like she's my friend who just bought this car, talking about it like we're just pals (but with all the tech specs for a car nerd). If the US is ever going to compete with UK's Top Gear, start with engaging gals like this one!

Also the laundry basket metric is hysterical!!!

  • Very nice review, what a great new addition to the Roadfly gang. Hope to see more of her.....She is hot hot hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • who does she think she is -____-

  • Very good review, thank you!

  • Great review but such an ugly car. It's appears to be a very bland car compared to its predecessor.

  • nice addition to the team, but i think i might need a while to get used to

  • Good one emme...good one!

  • Soft spot for vw? OMG!!! Jesssssssssiiiiiii!!!!

  • Roadfly should have a predictable rotation of hosts. I mean Emme and Ross are really strong reviewers but if I expect Jessi every time I am always going to be just a little disappointed when its someone else.

  • VW will soon learn what a big mistake they have made. This car is now the bottom feeder of the class. Ok the Carolla may give it a run for it's money but why would you pay for this when even the current Focus has the same interior quality and a better rear suspension? That is leaving the Subaru Impreza, Mazda 3, etc. off the list. I wish people would stop pandering to manufacturers with the "Leatherette" too, call it what it is Vinyl, you know the base seat covering... below cloth.

  • @bigretardhalo Isnt the Jetta in the same class as Camry and Fusion?

  • @MrUpgraydde The Passat has always been the midsize VW the Jetta is just the sedan version of the Golf where as with the Mazda 3 there is a sedan and hatch with the same name. Unless that is VW's thought with the new larger cars compete against the midsize with the Jetta and the full size with the Passat?

  • @bigretardhalo This is what sells in America and sell it will. Look at the highways and what do you see, a sea of vanilla, with maybe a light sprinkling of flavor.

  • At the beginning, I was like, Where's Jessi, but at the end I was like, wow, that was pretty good!

  • VW is falling way behind in petrol tech in the U.S.. The only way you get good mileage out of their cars is to buy a diesel. That kind of ruins the point of offering a cheap base model that doesn't have the things you want.... like good interior quality.

Plus when I saw this chick I kept hearing Dolph Lungren's voice saying, "I must break you". Weird huh....

  • Very good review, fun, entertainning, and full of useful information. Thanks for posting! :-)

  • WHAT A MILF.... i think..

  • Good job, Emme! Welcome! :-)

  • better then jessi l :) very good rew

  • Great review! But what's going on with the hype about heated seats? I see it a lot in different US car reviews. Heated seats have been standard in cars in Europe since the early 90's. Not every reviewer lives in California or in some kinda sun paradise?

  • this new chick is the best. keep her and ditch the rest
