Well it's true that palming is riskier, although the bottom palm i use is amazingly subtle. The main advantage and the reason i use this (when playing against friendz or family =P ) is the ability to cheat the deck (with the dead cut) ON YOUR OWN. I have done this dozens of time and none have ever suspected a thing. Although i do understand ur opinion, don't get me wrong...

This is my basic routine for cheating at a poker game:

1. Acquire the desired card(s) at the bottom, do this when gathering all the cards

2. Riffle shuffle the pack, leave the desired cards at the bottom while doing this

3. Square the cards up, whilst squaring up execute bottom palm

4. Slowly and unnoticably put the palmed hand under the table or any other cover

5. Give the cards to cutting player (with right hand)

6. Put the deck (already cut) in palming hand.

7. Bottom deal wanted cards. =D

Actually, not at all, you can easily "force" someone that isn't helping you to cut at a certain point, i do this by either crimping (slightly bending) or jogging (sticking out slightly) the cards. Ofcourse things become really easy if you have a companion that will search for this cut, but if no-one suspects your cheating they will 50% of the time actually cut at the indication.

Even if you showed some moves that can't be applied at the card table (i'm talking about magic moves like the Erdnase change or the top shot), your technique is very good! I haven't seen any finger flash on your bottom deal that's great. Your second deal is almost perfect. I move my left hand more for more realism. It strenghens the illusion. Just on objection on your riffle stacking. I think you can do it flawlessly, without having to slow downat the end of your riffle

Erdnase can be useful in card cheating.  Bubble peak the top card, and if you don't like it, switch it w/ erdnase!

What if you don't like the second card? You use Erdnase move again? You'll get back to the card you didn't want at first. To be franck, Erdnase is of no use at the card table. The reason for that is the fact that it takes to long to perform, and obliges you to cover the deck, in an unusual manner, which will bring all the attention on you. Not to mention the fact that there are many other ways to bring any you peaked in the middle of the deck to the top.

@Ramosbs While your correct the Erdnase color change is really of no use in a poker game, but it should be known that Erdnase is not limited to just that move. In Expert at the Card Table, he outlines 90% of the things being done here, heck anywhere in the field of card cheating.

figuring out what he is doing is the easy part. many amateurs can figure these moves out. what makes this video so incredibly beautiful is the incredible technique. this is without a doubt the cleanest second dealing i have seen. for the posters who cant figure out how to this applies to poker -> dont play poker...you are too stupid to even step foot in a casino.
