  • The whole time when she threw the ship I just thought of titanic

  • The whole time I watched this scene in the movie...I kept thinking..."Damnit Shinji! Get in your f***ing Eva and go help her!!!" It's odd how the more I love Asuka the more I hate Shinji...

  • i want a blu-ray release for this :/, and i wish the they had kept the voice actress for this auska instead of the new one for the Rebuild :/

  • @ShowersNeiked

What do you mean new voice actress? Asuka's VA in Rebuild is still Tiffany Grant ~~

  • @Zero4ph wrong character, lol

  • @ShowersNeiked

I thought you were talking about Asuka? ~~

  • @Zero4ph i thought so too

  • @ShowersNeiked

    O_o okay then ~~

  • she should have press the *eject* button

  • @shadow5041

She can't she is still synchronize with her Eva she has to be totally de-synchronize before she can get out.

  • The best way to catch a missile is to use your face. ~~

  • I just cannot watch this in english "Now I understand the meaning of the AT field" - that line is delivered by an actress who is trying to sound cute - the original is delivered more like a war cry. These V/O actors suck the punch out of the movie.

  • @JetBeetle No these enbglish voice actors do a brilliant job through the series and movie.

  • @TheUnknownsock Except for hyuuga.

  • the white things faces look freakin annoying .-.

  • Hey guys help me out here, I'm terribly confused. So in the manga and the original version of the anime, Asuka falls into a coma (or depression) but in EoE and the newest movie You Can (Not) Advance she dies in both of them. Since You Can (Not) Advance (or Evangelion 2.22) is supposedly a "remake" of the original series, was the plot changed for this remake? So far I've only read the manga and Toji was supposed to die in Asuka's place but in 2.22 it was the other way around...

  • @noname685

Asuka didn't die in 2.22 Gendo lied about it to Shinji she's back in 3.0 with an eye patch and oh yea the story changed in Rebuild of Evangelion.

  • muy buenae...!!!!

  • @Zero4ph he means Evangelion 2.22

  • @11evanescense

Ah okay I thought it was something else.

  • Well that was cool but why do they bring her back for the new one

  • @99deaths2go

huh? what do u mean "why do they bring her back for the new one"

  • @Zero4ph He means Evangelion 2.22 or You Can (Not) Advance when Gendo turns on the dummy system and forces Shinji to kill Asuka because she was possessed by an angel -- but she was already dead for EoE

  • @noname685

yea since Bardiel possessed Eva-03 in 2.22, she comes back alive though in EoE.

  • @noname685 well is good to know she's alive. i have this movie and is really depressing and i feel sorry for her since she's my favorite character and i love the N64 game, i still play it to date. and yes, i saw 3.0 trailer and it kinda looks like DBZ kai so i hope it wont be crap, otherwise she be better off dead.

  • SUPER AWESOME!!!!

    IT WAS A REAL MASSACRE!!

  • wtf are the white things?

  • @MrCrazyLeprechaun

They are called MP Evangelions or Eva Series ;)

  • But this is the movie right, in the normal one she did not die right?

  • @TeamCrimsom

In Ep. 25 of NGE it never shown the episode is primarily driven by dialogue Asuka is also included during instrumentality, Shinji choose to reject instrumentality and choose to live on Asuka did the same thing at the end.

  • @TeamCrimsom the last 2 episodes of NGE were what was going on during Shinji's time as God during Instrumentality. When you do a little research the whole thing is pretty clear.

  • OH MAN, so what in the end shinji survive?

  • Wait so what, asuka hand got cut into half

  • @TeamCrimsom

    Yes it's terrible isn't it

  • @mgs3re4dmc3 That was the point lol :P

  • *evil smile*

  • this is not her last fight she coms back in 3.00

  • Dear Santa...

  • The MP EVAS survived? Oh a small skull implosion and slightly torn in half, no big deal just get up and fight some more....

    HOW!?!

  • @VOLTVEXstudios

Asuka didn't destroy their cores which resulted of their revival and they are equipped with S2 Engines.

  • I take it from the first 56 seconds that she doesn't want to die.

  • Dear god thats alot of blood

  • Pues nose ustedes pero ese Shinji es un pedazo de imbecil maricon!!

  • MP Evas these 9 Evagelion mass-production Units were built outside of NERV headquarters and share a common configuration and coloring. Because they utilize the Dummy Plug System, they are under the direct control of SEELE. Their Dummy Plugs all bear the name "Kaworu," so they appear to have been created using the thought patterns of the 17th Angel. All posses S^2 engines and are armed with facsimiles of the Lance of Longinus.

  • this is against my finals

  • this is on of the coolest futuristic anime ive ever seen though i dont really understand thoroughly the story of this anime...

  • Comment removed

  • one of the rare that I prefer the dub by a considerable margin.

  • just let me get one thing straight...how did asuka get from being catatonic to the botom of that lake?

    maybe im missing something here

(if not whats your interpretation people? :))

  • @ibaneeez1

Asuka sinks into deep depression after Arael's mental probing. (episode 22)

  • @Zero4ph correct, so come to think of it, the diference between this and the original is that after Ariels attack they left Asuka where she was...in the Eva...this makes sence then

  • @ibaneeez1

here in EoE 25' she was in the Hospital but in NGE 25 it was never shown.

  • @ITGLink

Sub'd anime sounds like shit unless you speak the language. It's a bunch of horrible screeching sounds with words at the bottom of the screen. Does Japan have like 5 voice actors or something? It 's mind boggling why anyone would prefer sub'd over dub'd. Even shitty English dubs are worlds better than subtitles.

  • i dnt understand the ending?

  • @philipanakwue

When given a choice at the end of Insturmentality Project, if he wanted mankind to return to reality or to complete the project, Shinji decided that a life in reality, no matter how painful, is better than a fake happiness (Kaworu: "AT-Field will harm you and others again, are you sure?" Shinji: "That's fine.") The Mass Production Eva series falls still, their cores break as the Lance Replicas are destroyed. ;)

  • @Charliem1994

Well the problem is, a sentence isn't necessarily the same length in both Japanese and English, but when you are dubbing you have to fit the words with mouth movement. That means that some things need to be changed or left out. Other than that, there are changes made to make it more understandable to our culture, and some people don't like that... personally, I am interested in the original Japanese culture of the animes. (1/2)

  • @Charliem1994

I don't know how much this is done anymore, but early dubbed animes such as DBZ and Sailor Moon were also censored quite a bit. But again, even if they intend to be true to the Japanese, some things are changed by necessity for the reason I first gave. (2/2)

  • Is this Neon Genesis Evangelion?

  • @SammySamuelSam DUH!

  • What happened to Asuka? What's the cause of this? I wanna know cos I only know Evangelion to Ep5 ><

  • @Boonjing98

    (spoilers)

Sadly Asuka dies here. But after instrumentality her soul still existed and she had the will to manifest herself in physical form (like shinji).

  • @Zero4ph aww... btw are those angels? Why they so powerful?

  • @Boonjing98

No they are MP Evangelions, they are not powerful it happens there are 9 of them against 1 Asuka also didn't destroy their cores which resulted of their revival. ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @Eerie0Innocence I have to agree with you there, even though the first minute isn't all that spectacular.

  • @Eerie0Innocence

Yea she is interesting isn't she.

  • the "i don't wanna die" at the start was heart breaking

  • for being a dub in the 90's this is actually very good

  • Lol I didn't watch the english dub so hearing it in english is weird.. also I shed manly tears when Asuka died.

  • @BitchImaRhino Tears? All I had was an gaping mouth of shock...

  • WTF!!! are that white evas????

  • @01Metallizer

Yes they are called MP Evangelions (Mass Produce)

  • i wonder if she doesn't want to die?

  • @Azoruk

What's gross about it? This is quite good quality.

  • Only Anime I ever liked. Rei > Asuka though I have to say :)

  • you dont fuck with momma

  • godzilla is bigger there that robot

  • this is in my top 3 for saddest movies ever along with "the deer hunter" and "schindler's list"

  • her death in the evangalion movies was so different.. O3o.. but equally emotional ;c

  • @Levolpehh

um if you're referring to Eva 2.22 nope she didn't die Gendo just didn't told about it Shinji.

  • @Zero4ph well she came pretty damn close to it :P ud think after being chewed on by EVA1 you'd be a tiny bit crushed ;)

  • @Levolpehh

She's tough she always come back for more

  • Sem duvidas é o melhor anime ja feito d todos os tempos.

  • The nine Eva units (Eva-05 to 13) built at the various NERV branches. In contrast to the previous Eva, these units are under the command of SEELE instead of NERV. Equipped with the S2 Engine, they have an infinite active time and thus do not need umbilical cables. They also have collapsible wings on their backs which allow them to fly. In order to carry out the Instrumentality Project, SEELE committed them to the battle against NERV, and as a group they destroyed Eva-02. ;)

  • shit man i have not watched this anime but seeing this just shocks me! like whoa! the way she died (i think she died) was like =O lol

  • this scene brought tears to my eye.

  • @vx0001 lol do you mean liked?

  • @Dan1104xv guess thats what i get typing in the middle of the night half aseep

  • @vx0001 hahah chill out man, it's just a small typo, you don't have to kill yourself for that.

  • PUSSY OUT, LIKE A BOSS.

Way to go Shinji. Way to fucking go.

  • Auf Wiedersehen JSSDF >:D

  • Is this american?

  • @ThisPersonSays542

    Japanese

  • I’d jam her Entry Plug, if you know what I mean.

  • @MightyQuinn2021 wink wink nudge nudge

  • 0:53

Asuka's corpse is covered with maggots.

  • I know people are mad at Shinji but he couldn't do anything even if he wanted to. Then when finally gets in his Eva Rei gives him the biggest mindfuck of all time and he decides to let everyone in the world die.

  • @CrimsonVermillioneye

yes but Shinji accomplished was letting everyone get the chance to come back.

  • i bought figures of eva 00 and used the missle that came with it to have it hit unit 02 in the face :D

  • angel is a F@g

  • 7:52 SICK!

  • @Kainlarsen

    i sooo agree

  • @Kainlarsen Asuka is ALWAYS the most beautiful character in the whole series :D

  • @coldplay109

Until in Rebuild Mari is kinda beautiful as well.

  • Whats the movie called:?

  • @staggo3000 it's not a movie it is a series of episodes called nge end of evangelion

  • @ultimatehedgehog50 Ah......And I DO KNOW NEON GENISIS EVANGELION...

  • @staggo3000

    The End of Evangelion

  • The problem with the English dubs is that they're horrible, save a few moments where they are the most brilliant voice acting I've ever heard.

  • @TheGrandIgloo That statement is so contradictory to itself lol

  • holy fucknig shit the english dube are SO FUCKING BAD. ESPECIALLY IN THE LAST QUARTER

  • @OneRequiem123 Nope.avi. In fact Asuka is much better in English.

  • poor asuka :((( baka na! demo evangelion wa totemo sugoi yo -__^ V

  • Asuka didn`t die I mean, she appears along with Shinji in the end being both of them the last humans on earth.

  • @Kumagoro17 his imagination

  • @Kumagoro17

Asuka came back from the LCL into her human form and they weren't last humans on the earth they both reject instrumentality and choose to return from the LCL they are the first two humans to reject instrumentality. ;)

  • so did asuka really die cause I mean as long at they dont destroy the head she is alright I mean why your crying and shit get over it you and make another evangelion

  • @xI0GAMER0Ix2

She really die sadly granted the spears do their jobs and due to high sync ratio with her Eva-02.

  • @Zero4ph oh wait thats right the pilot is like in the body of the evangelion like below the neck I forgot

  • @xI0GAMER0Ix2

    yea the Entry Plug

  • 4:20

Music in the background is... Aria? WTF?!!

  • One of the biggest bitches in anime history :D

  • Any reason why Asuka was the only one who went out and fought?

  • @willferrelsux

Asuka is the only remaining pilot can pilot an Evangelion Shinji is so depressed because of Kaworu's death and Rei is in Terminal Dogma about to fused with Lilith.

  • @Zero4ph Shinji and Rei need to go get killed.

  • @willferrelsux 1. Shinji's Evangelion was covered in Bakelite. Not that it's the only factor, but it's one of the reasons.

    2. Rei's Evangelion was destroyed when she sacrificed herself for Shinji. She also probably didn't have much of a choice when it came to being able to pilot.

  • @willferrelsux

lol that would be the end for all of us.

  • For some reason I wanna call those white Eva series mechas "Angels"

I don't know why, but I just feel like it.

  • @mgs3re4dmc3

    Harpies

  • @Zero4ph Lol how about Doves?

  • @mgs3re4dmc3

lol dude doves are sign of Beauty and Love but with those MP Evas were like Ugly and Brutal.

  • @Zero4ph Lol yeah but doves are probably ugly on the inside... just like any other living thing.

And if they poop on you that's pretty brutal lol

  • @mgs3re4dmc3

    lol good point

  • Next Time We Eat EVA 02

  • I wouldnt be surprised if the main characters end up in a Mental Institution after the war came to an end

  • ugh...the first time I saw Unit 02 ripped apart I had to agree with some of the spectators at NERV just thinking how disgusting it was.

For me it was quite disgusting as well...I guess it's due to the fact that the MECH actually have ORGANS. I mean...jeese.

  • I'm kind of confused how people were confused/mind fucked by the ending of the series.

I found the theme to be quite clear. ...you can not survive in this world without interacting with others. Whether it is at work, at school, social event, or even through the net we depend on others to continue surviving and survive as a species.

However we aren't always satisfied with what others have to offer...it can either hurt or help/heal.

Just keep living and make the best out of what you have!!!!

  • @shadowpal2

For most people It's a mindscrew because it relies on symbolism so much that the immediate response is "What the heck was that?" Example-It involves a giant robot being transformed into the tree of life by a set of nine other giant robots and a huge tuning fork, then getting plunged into the vagina-forehead of a giant alien who has taken on the form of the male lead's mother's clone. but they're actually great endings that just take a bit of thinking. ;)

  • @Zero4ph

Right! I'm surprised that most people just don't really get the ending. I mean my friends were all like, "THE ENDING IS SO WEIRD AND DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE...WHY ARE THEY LYING ON A BEACH?!"...and they were talking about it before I even heard about Evangelion. Then when I watched it...I could only be confused by why they were confused. I found it to be quite clear. But of course the deeper meaning within the series requires us to focus on characters from the beginning.

  • @shadowpal2

yea it's so important to know the story when the actual beauty of Evangelion is in the characters.

  • Did you know that Shinji and Asuka really exist? Not here but somewhere they exist and i would do ANYTHING to get to them and spend eternity with them! Me and Rei would be playing pool with Pen Pen and Gendo would be reading a newspaper and Asuka would be sleeping with me every night while Rei watches we could go out to some resturaunt and have fun. From Hell to Heaven

  • @greatestsongsofLIFE

I do believe "Shinji and Asuka" exist in our lives it fits with the general theme in the last half of the movie that you interact with people knowing that they will hurt you, but also that they can also care for you. You have to take the good with the bad. ;)

  • planking sucks

  • I can't listen to this in English. I just can't.

  • @Disturbed763 Then don't listen to it in English.

  • something's wrong with the bgm, or it's just me?

  • Comment removed

  • The whole Evangelion franchise is a total mindfuck, but I love it !!!

  • I think she died.

  • @ShatteredDreamsUK

    yes sadly :(

  • evangelion is a very disturbing series to me anyway. tell me what you guys think of it.

  • @TheLovesoul1

Despite the grim nature of the show, a key underlying theme of the story is intended to be optimistic: that despite our flaws, humans seek meaningful connections with each other and meaning to our lives, and if we can endure life's pitfalls we can find such things and better appreciate them. ;)

  • @Zero4ph And then get skewered

  • @Zero4ph I am glad that some people do indeed get this show, most say that they do and do not, It seems that you actually do.
