  • i wonder if you guys were plastered when exchanging this story, hhhmmm?

  • how does anybody know shes dead?

  • Is that a true story...because how would anyone know about the boyfriend....or the fact that she hadn't seen her parents in ten years?

  • It's sad? Well, relatively thinking- if the guy still cares for her, yes. But after 10 years, he may not care for her anymore... especially if he broke up w/ her. If it was a bad break up he may have not wanted to talk to her ever again.

  • i think they were going out for ten years, and then broke up and she died a year later.

  • I love the song in the background! lol. I forget what its called. :o

  • Obviously not the "Japanese Story", starring Toni Collette, I was thinking about when I saw the title of this video.

  • So sad.Who said that?

  • mm shoganai ne

  • Sad story, but I can't help but think it might be a wise-old tale. Like 'The boy who cried wolf' or something.

Like "Don't separate yourself from others, because then no one will know what happens to you." or something.

  • well at least the japanese guy won't feel the pain of her death...just the pain of breaking up after ten years...ignorance is bliss.

  • exacto-mundo bro ;)

  • If the Boyfriend doesnt know......how does he??? Just a thought....something to chew on...

  • well, i mean he never will, but I guess Vince is trying to talk about if you spent 10 years of your life wife somebody and then they suddenly vanish, you would probably be very sad not knowing whatever happened to them.

  • I thought Vince was a pretty good story teller, gotta make him tell a more thorough one next time <.<

  • I get it Vince...

You don't have to repeat it ten times.

  • Standing in line to see the show in line to see the light on, heavy glows lol red hot chilipeppers

  • ah, this story illustrates how some couples here don't have mutual friends, nor do they really mix their social groups in any way. i think that's the weirdest part for an american to hear. (and ofcourse not all japanese couples are like this, but this kind is not surprising to see/hear about)

  • I'm sure that story is sad, but he didn't deliver it very well. Is that some random guy you met in a bar by the way? He seemed a tad out of it.

  • im not feelin it man. nice tunes though

  • cool bar. doko desu ka?

  • Hub, Roppongi

  • hey what bar is that and where? looks fun, ill be coming to tokyo on thursday for vacation so if i get homesick i have a place like my local bar.

  • Hub, in Roppongi

  • "1 year on the day?" <-- you just had to say it lol.

  • i did, lol

  • Lol, it was the best part.

  • you know why this is sad right??? SHE JUST GOT HER HAIR DONE!!!! I would come back as a ghost just because I just spent the money on getting my hair done and that is freaking expencive!~!!!!!! Danm commi itaian drivers dont want a girls hair to look nice.

  • lol, Italy meets Ringu, fuck yeah!

  • or the grudge with that long ass freaky hair...ahhhhh oh what is your stickam name I am on both us and Japan one tinnerbean(us) or tinamay(japan) would like to chat and ask you some questions

  • why would that be a bad thing? said guy is never going to see this person again, he wont ever find out from anyone else. So he is saved from feeling sad because she is dead. Ignorance is bliss, well in this case anyway.

  • I agree. This wasn't really a sad story. They broke up a YEAR ago. It's not like they were going to get together again. Also, if this is a "true" story, how did it become a story if the guy never found out that the girl died? What I'm saying is, how did the story teller/creator find out about the guy's relation to the girl? Sounds like some kind of urban legend to me.

  • yeah i agree it just sounds like a made up story to emphasize the lack of communication in Japanese relationships.

  • my thoughts exactly, but he said this is a thing that older people (in their 30's would contemplate more), than me (a dude in early 20's wouldn't care so much <.<

  • Oy. That's crazy. But I agree with Kris on this one.

  • Interesting commentary on relationships in Japan.
