We have failing schools in Detroit and Baltimore -- plenty of kids who need schooling in the USA. But she turns her back on them and goes to Kenya to help foreigners. Totally unpatriotic! She's a shameful excuse for an American! No wonder she threatened to kill one of the judges at the US Open -- she has no judgment. Terrible!
muton, don't change the subject. Serena chooses to do charity work in education. But she forgets that charity begins at home. She's unpatriotic. That has no logical relevance to me. The fact that you would even ask that question shows you are trying to cloud the issue and can't follow one train of thought. I do charity for childhood vaccines in this country. if I were to embark on education reform, i'd do it here as well. Serena is not. Why? She's a bad American.
@JoeyFudd maybe because she knows that people in those parts of the world dont get help like we do. Its's not her respnsibilty to help us, she taking her own time and money to help impovershed children. Call her what you want, bad American or whatever, but she a good person that inspires many.
SERENA IS SO GIVING! She very rarely gets any credit or publicity from the American media for her charitable acts!! They only blast her name & face all over the news when she says/does something inappropiate. This is why a lot of people dislike her and they don't know the real woman OFF THE TENNIS COURTS!!!
at least she will talk more sense than those useless MPs you elect back in your villages that do nothing for their people. Lets just say, she has power, the best women's tennis player in the world at the moment and also doing well with her philathropy work. lets just say many can learn alot from her.
@karuitha it all depends on what she's lecturing on. If she's talking about philanthropy and athletics okay then. But if she thinks she can talk politics, economics, development she needs to think otherwise. It's condescending to go to a foreign country and try to "school" them..just my opinion I love Serena though...she like everyone and anyone else just needs to learn to stay in their lane.
You think she is going to lecture on economy and politics? don't be daft. She can only talk about what she knows best, sports and what it takes to be at the top of her game and also about her philanthropy. Many including our MPs can learn alot from her, our kenyan millionaires can also learn alot abt the art of giving back.
Go Serena
