  • that was um......unexpected

    i love it though

and i love the ending of sanctuary

  • Nice to see this, but it really just confirms what I was able to work out from the episode itself. The fact that it didn't SHOW all this in the episode, but provided all the information needed to work it out, was pretty brilliant.

  • watch online region free sgustreaming-dot---com

  • I don't think they're really IN character here. they feel a bit too "casual" with each other as if they're just explaining not acting their roles.

anyways, it explains the episode clearly =)

  • @illicitfilms

Nope, they didn't have to resolve anything on screen, because it was obvious how is it gonna end. You just have to think about stuff you're watching :))

  • @illicitfilms

You're an idiot if you couldn't read into the ending. Like the show was just going to end there? Use your brain.

  • @illicitfilms I liked how they never solved it. To me it implied that the loop reoccurred so many times that eventually, they caught the disease so early that it didn't even need talking about in the next episode.

Then again, Matt and Eli akwardness is always good!

  • @illicitfilms It's called a cliffhanger. And it is not only an excellent way to write but it is also one of the oldest ways. Imagine someone flipping through channels and stumbling upon this episode. The ending reels them in and keeps them wanting more. Also this ending is what makes this a "classic" Stargate episode.

  • Here's a question: WHY ISN'T THIS ON THE DAMN DVD???!!!

  • What are the pictures of on Eli's wall?

  • why can Sgt. Riley tell us this explanation?? I thought this guy is comatose and hurt.

  • @Thorsten91 i think thats dr volker

  • now I'm even more confused.

was that solution on tv some time or did they just send the episode and then you had to think for yourself?

  • dude this show is way cool....no syfy show can beat it not even that new battle star galactica or um caprica

  • @daveymickmc ..haha...wait till the next ep next year, there will be action...and i'm talking about ship battle scenes!

  • how u know that?... they will need to somehow be able control ship.... (i liked the last episode, pretty gud..... that and time were good,... i fell asleep watchin all the others... (apart from the pilot, that was gud 2

  • gateworld and robert c cooper's blog

  • im kinda anoyed they didnt resolve it on tv but then again i proberly would of been more anoyed of having to watch them go through the whole oh my god its from a different timeline were all going to die thing again

  • The ending as they left it was a big part of what made it a good episode (the only good episode so far in the series). If they'd added this pointless exposition to the end for idiots who can't figure it out for themselves, it would have been a worse episode.

Then again, given how dull all the other episodes are, maybe that's the audience they're going for.

  • Or better yet, maybe they could actually make a compelling storyline for a single episode which actually keeps the viewer engaged, and ends with a semblance of originality without leaving the viewer with multiple possible further scenarios (4th kino sent back in time?), and actually resolve the conflict of the episode.

Or perhaps they are just shooting for the lowest common denominator, and these "kino web-episodes" suffice for the target audience.

  • Great, a half-arsed 3 minute explanation as to what happened. Not like we deserve proper closure to a cliffhanger...

  • It wasn't a cliffhanger. It was an ending. An intelligent ending.

  • I disagree. I think it was a cop-out ending to a (brilliant) episode. "Yup. We got the message, we got the alien antidote and we cured the disease. It was awesome. You shoulda been there Anyway, next episode." -_-

  • See, the point of this Kino video is to show you that it really wasn't that awesome and it doesn't really matter if you were there. By the end of the episode you know how it's going to be resolved, so they leave it to you reason that out instead of wasting valuable screentime on a drawn-out, obvious ending.

  • I understand what you're saying. But I argue that if the ending was that clever you wouldn't have known how it was going to be resolved. They set up so many problems that needed to be resolved, and then just wished them all away. They set those horrible creatures up to very daunting, and then caught a bunch of them with ease. Several people were in serious danger of dying, but they were fine. We could have found out a bit more about those things, etc etc. I feel it was a cop-out :(

  • The most important thing we found out is that they sleep during the day. Greer said and even demonstrated that in the daylight they're easy pickings. They died the second time because they were too late. The third time they had all the information they needed to find a nest, grab some sleeping creatures and go back to the Destiny without a hitch.

  • See? If they'd concluded the episode properly we wouldn't need to speculate like this would we? What about the "antidote"? That was easy for a medic to synthesize from an alien creature's venom? With limited resources? Or did she just have them bite everyone and hope for the best?

  • I'm not speculating - that's actually what happened

  • I like this lil addition, very cool, but it annoyed me that there was no mention of it at the beggining of 'Life'.. I didnt know these extras existed..! Im ok w it now though :)

  • It's really depressing how all the hardcore SG fans hate both this episode and "200". Sometimes you honestly have to wonder if people actually are watching the shows they are fans of or if they just like movement on a screen.

    Oh, besides the obvious "taking-it-too-far".

  • Who are ALL the SG fans? I loved this episode. I suppose I'm not hardcore enough.

  • The hardcore fans. You know, the crazies in any fanbase.

  • I only disliked this episode because you knew half-way through exactly what would happen at the end because they made it all too obvious. Especially when they killed of Chloe. James I could almost see dying since she's a recurring character. Chloe? Not so much.

  • That's funny! But I'm glad they keep this kind of humor off the show and confined to the web extras. I enjoy SG:U more than earlier series because it takes itself more seriously.

  • Yay! Does this mean Riley survived the explosion? And this is a nice little epilogue to the episode - hopefully it makes its way to the DVDs

  • I'm really glad they didn't put this in the ep =P

    Woulda ruined the entire ending.

  • These will make really nice little DVD extras.

  • The good thing is that this establishes that *both* timelines' kinos are found by the "final" timeline's Destiny, so all of the character interaction and bonding from the first kino isn't *completel* wasted.

  • The problem with that is, unless 2nd timeline scott had the first kino in his pack for some reason, it shouldnt even exist in the final timeline, as the first timeline scott wouldnt have been there to send it through.

  • Actually, the two kinos can co-exist if the solar flare caused the wormhole to jump to different time periods as it endured. The first kino was sent later in the disturbance and would arrive further into the past. The second was sent just seconds after the flare. If that one arrived at a time later than the first kino, then the two kinos would co-exist (along with a confused Rush). Hope this helps ;)

  • @lordzahgurim Snake! youve created a time paradox!

  • This takes place after "Time", but given how seriously Riley was injured it's most likely that the section of this video in which he explains wormhole travel was recorded by Eli before he was injured in "Earth".

  • to be fair, the average viewer isn't going to see this

  • Well. a lot americans aren't really ... um ... well, too smart. But I think this goes more to the people taht never watched the original SG series. To us veterans the whole time travel thingy caused by a solar flare disrupting an active wormhole is nothing new, really, but to new people it might be a little ... confusing ^^

  • I really appreciate that they didn't show this in the ep. The fans are allready well aware of this, but it's nice for the newbies to get it explained as we did all those seasons ago.

  • @rawen100

ur a tool, never leave an episode with a cliffhanger like this without any mention of how they "eliminated" the contaminated water, it takes 2 lines in the following episode to follow up and keep a consistent timeline

if you dont follow up and keep a consistent timeline, this show turns into another sitcom like Two and a half men or the simpsons, no one ages or ever changes in sitcoms they just jump from one to the other, this was OBVIOUSLY a failure on the directors fault

  • @illicitfilms So you want them to show everything that ever happens? You know they don't do that, right? Sometimes you need to figure out stuff on your own.

  • Chevron Guy Mk4 lives!

    Woo Riley!

  • Nice! Confusing, but nice. =)

    And wtg, Riley!

  • Riley lives! Yay!
