nice bike! I started on a 250cc and I think there fine for anyone as long as you can touch the ground and ride responsibly. no difference if it were a CBR600 or CBR1000 there only as safe as the rider.

make sure that with no matter how good the bike looks you do a compession check and ask when the last rebuild was if not sure always change the piston i made that issue with my first kx 250

@MsKatiecee I ride a CRF250R but its a four stroke. There is a complete difference between a 230 four stroke and a 250 two stroke. The two stoke has double the hp and way lighter, depending on your riding skill it will take a awhile to get used to.

The bore (or cylinder) has been oversized by machining in order to accept a larger piston. Doing this to your engine changes the cc's. So say you have a 250 cc engine to start. You can bore it out and make it a 280 cc engine. Does that help?

1. your chain is loose 2. you should raise the idle a bit, it's less harmful on the bike 3. let the bike idle and warm up for a few minute before you start reving it like that, it's hard on the poor thing doing that.
