  • This Is The One Al Was Talking About When He Said He Got Sick (with Laryngitis), But he didn't want to dissapoint Penn and Teller Since he Said He was going to do it already, So He Still went on, like the brave man we all know he is. god bless him.

  • 109 people are capable of actual sense of humor

1 christie dork got offended by this satanic blasphemy

  • Could Santa kill the obnoxious dancers, please?

  • We saw him live when we lived in California. It was a great show.

  • anyone else thinking

"get out of the way you two chicks. I want to see Al not you!"?

  • WHOO WIRD AL YANKED A DICK!!!!

  • i wanted to see him live at the minnesota state fair but we didnt have time or money to go. Fuck that would have been awesome

  • I would like to point something out, which I am making a reference to the beginning, he has said that he does not like being called "Weird" by itself.

  • Favorite family Christmas song.

  • My favorite christmas song.... Those hyper enthusiastic background dancers seem a little odd though, or is it just me? O_o

  • wierd al is pretty much god i figure

  • weird all yankovic fore xmas nomber1

  • Wow, he changed the ending of the song.

  • Awesome. lol.

  • whats the name of the original song?

  • @transmissionjimmy69 it´s an Weird Al Original ^^

  • @transmissionjimmy69 there isn't one, this is one of his originals, however this is a style parody

  • ROFLMAO!! thats a great song and those dancers were great ;) but were they really neccesarry? lol

  • "west virginia, now santa claus is dead. cuz i guy from the swast team blew a hole through hia head" hahaha

  • it goes, "Yes, Viginia, Now Santa Claus is dead. A guy from the Swat Team put a hole through his head."

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!

but, thats not how the version of that one chorus went that i downloaded, it was

"Yes Virginia, now Santa's doing time

In a Federal prison for his infamous crime

Hey little friend now, don't you cry no more tears

He'll be out on good behaviour in seven hundred more years."

that's odd but both verses are funny none the less

  • Great xD

  • my three favorite people in 1 video

  • hahaha thats sick!

  • i wonder if this song came to him when he was remonessing about his bast christmas of 93 i think it was. were he was being "evil santa"

  • He changed the lyrics-at first Santa was in prison for 700 years, but in this version he gets shot by the S.W.A.T. team.

  • Merry Christmas to all NOW YOU'RE ALL GONNA DIE!

  • who the hell are those freaky dancers - wtf!!???

  • He's pretty good live. Most musicians have voice machines.

  • Merry Christmas Penn and Teller!

  • oh, poor al sounds sick!! he does do performances while hes sick though!! like he did one with a 104 degree fever!! talk about dedication!! oh my gosh al!! feel better soon! i luved ur performance, even though u were sick! luv u, my little sweetie! :)

  • Ya I thought that too. But YEA NEW VERSE OF THE SONG!!!! :) Thanks for posting this video Uncle Frank!

  • the 2 guys at the begining are penn and teller

  • Strange that those two guys (dunno name) appear about everywhere, 'course only one guy talks, and all. But the strange thing he appeared narrating these videos called "Bullshit!" and as well appearing in some DISNEY shows. o_O

  • the two guys at beginning are penn and teller

  • yer i agree ugly stupid bitches

  • Poor Al's sick. :'( I love how he ignored the freakish women dancing around him. Of course he'd ignore them, hes not a perverted freak.

  • I know, those dancers...they're just annoying. And yes :( poor Al sounds so sick in this...

  • I love that he's annoying those freakish dancers. They scared me... And my computer doesn't have sound so I have no idea how sick he sounds but I'll listen to it when I go to my Grandmother's house and use her WORKING computer. BTWBTWBTW...... I'M GOING TO A WEIRD AL CONCERT TOMORROW! WOOOOOo!!!

  • Yeah, those dancers scared me too O.o...enjoy your Al concert! God, I loved mine XD it was the highlight of my summer, even after I went on vacation and went to the county fair.

  • The weird al concert ROCKED! I got a white and nerdy shirt and so did my friend. We'll be posting a video about our experience tomorrow at around 5pm. It's basically a Vlog of us.... Before and after the concert. (We couldn't bring our camera in to do it DURING the concert)

  • i know your comment was awhile ago but he puts on a great show doesn't he? lol i would go anytime. i have been to 2 weird al concerts and i will never get tired of him. i am 13 so i have time to go to a lot more concerts and i can't wait till his next tour!

  • Poor Al sounds quite sick in this. Trust him to not cancel though! Bless him!

  • On the CD I have some of the lyrics are different, It said "West Virginia now Santa's doin time in a federal prison for his infamous crime, hey little friend, don't ya cry no more tears, he'll be out with good behavior in 700 more years"

  • These lyrics here are the ORIGINAL ones. He rewrote them for the album because he thought they would scare kids.

And it's "YES Virginia." Why would he tell West Virginia that Santa Claus died?

  • There are two "gory" versions. One is like this for concerts, and the other has it's new verse followed by "Well there are no more presents, for children's enjoyment, and the elves gotta stand in line to file for unemployment" and it is on what I believe is the now out-of-print Amish Paradise single.

  • The Viginia thing a reference to the an editorial from September 21, 1897 call "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus"

  • @EvilUncleFrank well it's possible to think maybe the prison that he's in is located in West Virginia.

But of course the "Yes Virginia" is a reference to the letter "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus"

  • @princessyukisohma clean version for the album, the live version is always the original version that he wrote where Santa gets his brains blown out by the S.W.A.T.

  • Weird Al wrote on his website: "Yes, I was just getting over a terrible case of laryngitis. I know I sounded bad, and I would have canceled our appearance, except for the fact that Penn & Teller had built a whole production number around me, and I would have felt horrible about backing out. I'm better now, though, thanks." Loyalty! Wonderful man, mr Yankovic.

  • Poor Al....Still awesome though! :)

  • Steve you pervert!!!! why are you looking at those girls? I'm just kidding Steve you know I love you

  • Aw, poor Al :(

  • Aw... Poor baby~ His voice is all screwed up.

  • Al seems sadly dispirited. It's still a cool song, but poor Al.

  • He was recovering from a severe bout of laryngitis.

  • That's Steve Jay on bass and Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz on drums, but Jim West (guitar) and Ruben Valtierra (keyboards) have substitutes.

  • thats not Al's band is it. the music doesnt sound right and his voice doesnt sound good. like hes losing his voice or something.

  • I think this is when he had a cold. He mentioned on his site that he had to sing live once on pen and teller with a cold.

  • Where did he mention that? (It's obvious how to get past hotlinking in comments, and you can PM me the link)

  • Ah yes, Ask Al, P.S. this was January 29, 1999.

  • Those dancing girls are a bit distracting...

  • ...and scary

  • Aw man... I love that song! That was awesome! Oh yeah.... FIRST!!!
