Luke, you're awesome man. You've totally inspired me to to play music.. And it's been weeks now and still going strong. Dude, you've changed my life. Bravo.
theurgy1984, I completely agree with you. It is a much better version because it is stripped down to the singer's raw voice and the 6 guitar strings. No musical accompaniment or backup singers. Great tune! Thankyou Indie103one!
I agree "theurgy"... this is raw and real and sounds better than the original. I've seen o'l Luke 4 times now and can't figure out why he is getting a shitload more radio time!
what does luc doucet writing a good song have to do with you being proud to be a canadian? can you write songs like this because you are a canadian? can all canadians write songs like this? you are proud to be canadian because luc doucet is also canadian?
Excellent stuff. Love his solo stuff as well as the Veal stuff. It is indeed a crime that he does not get the radio play he deserves, but it's no surprise as commercial radio sucks. I gave up on so called radio stations like The Edge years ago boring safe playlists. Leading edge my ass. Go Luke great voice and phrasing.
WOW why is this guy not famous...as a canadian i am disapointed that he gets no radio play except for on CBC....whos for the exposure of the indie world
Last time I saw him play, he played a lot more rocking version of this, on his White Falcon. They encored with "I hate your lipstick". He's great live. I've seen him at least three times over the years.
just another canadain who rocks--really he is producing the hottest singer coming out of canada---can you say melissa mclleand--check this babe out..she rocks!!
I saw him once in San Francisco and talked to him a little bit when I bought his CD. This video only scratches the surface of his playing, he's truly phenomenol. Nice guy too.

the tuning is to a D chord. so when you strum all of the strings, it produces a d chord..

He's got a funny tuning, so I can't learn this, at least not as easily as I could have...
