Why would you want to cut the Clitoris off? When that happens a woman technically loses more than half of the pleasure she gets when having sex. I mean imagine how painful that would be. 100s of nerves are in the Clitoris. It's probably the most sensitive part on your body besides the eye.

However this changes their sexuality rather than destroying it, resulting in them getting a lot more pleasure from penetration, changing their preferences from activities that have no chance of conceiving life within marriage to those that God sanctions.

All the medical and psychological studies have shown that FGM causes negative physical and mental complications. This is why it is banned in most countries and it's banned in Egypt. Female circumcision remains hugely popular in the country, it is taught in medical schools, performed in government hospitals and is practised by all sectors of community, including government ministers on their own daughters. A woman who experiences pleasure is more fertile, more happy to be with her husband and a woman who has not had that procedure has fewer medical problems and can have a baby normally without the complications entailed by the women who have had circumcision. It is an insane procedure, particularly the extreme form that is NOT mandated or prescribed anywhere in Islam.

I think it's wonderful that the women of Egypt don't allow themselves to be bullied into giving up a tradition they enjoy because of pressure from Western feminists. Having been cut themselves, they are keen to secure the same benefits for their daughters
