"Naturally influenced"? Tell me, what is so "natural" about the forceful intrusion and supplantation of indigenous customs by foreign invaders (not even considering the brutal regime they placed upon the lives of their "inferior" subjects)?
@thecritiquevirtuoso no, not really. the spanish, and even american influences, made our culture more unique than others. yes, you might say everything was just copied, but if you'll look deeper into it, we had our own twist to whatever spain/america gave us. the filipino culture stands out from the rest of asia, because we were able to make the east meet west perfectly. whatever spain/america gave us, we made it our own and added it to our native culture.
