Wow, I've loved this song for ages but never seen the video. Thanks for uploading, I always prefer the original videos so I can see for myself (and usually fan-made vids are lower quality). They would have had enough money at this point of the band's career (for the Beautiful album) to create awesome videos, like Go Baby, but this is just awful flipping from two different animation styles. The hand-drawn animation is interesting.

Eh. Not the worst artsy fartsy clip i've seen. The 2 dimensional square block headed people is lacking in subtlety. Usually i'm more annoyed by counter culture artsy fartsy short films.

Normally they show their mac computer - its soooooo counter culture and hip, then talk about evil anti-competitive corporations, while i *facepalm* how much of a tool they are. Mac is more imperialist and anti-free market then Microsoft. Tools.

the grotesqueness of the animation is really fitting i think. the song and video describe the dumbing down of the mainstream media (particularly in america) and the fickleness of celebrity, so having the video look essentially like a crappy child's drawing is a pretty withering put-down.

plus: the band look hilarious and the dog playing guitar is a pretty funny moment.
