For editing you could use eigther Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas (Final Cut would be another option, if you've got a mac).

For the effects, you could use Adobe After Effects or Combustion.

You'll also need a photo editing program such as Adobe Photoshop to make the images necessary for the menus.

this series is pretty great. a LOT better than most i've seen.

I'd have to say tho, that it would be great if you guys got more props and skills, like omnislash, or different clothes throughout the story, like a scene where iana has to seduce someone, or some badass clothes for when, or if hero might go super saiyan or something.

4/5 so far, but 6/5 compared to the other parodies

This is a fascinating thing, I've watched Street Fighter and Dragonball Z thing and other Final Fantasy with this idea. This is best one I have seen.

On a historical note I once read that royalty or such played the boardgame Nine Men's Morris(googled name) with real people on a field with holes.
