I was in the hospital for a whole month and I missed the last month of school. It was terrible and so painful. But I know EXACTLY what you went through!!! Also i have C-diff at the moment which is a bad bacteria infection of the intestines. Being ill and close to death (which i have been) changes your perspective so much on life. wow, what a story I know how scary being in the hospital can be on a kid, esp when u ar ein pain and don't know what it is that happened to me in 8th grade I had this werid thing happen to me and i got this infection into my joints and I wasn't able to walk, well they told me I wouldn't dance again or walk again....it was awful but here I am yrs later and I am ok! one day it was winter and the gorund was covered it ice and i slipped getting out of the car at school. i hit my head and it was one the worst pains iv ever felt in my life. i went to the e.r and i agree with you...you have to wait FOREVER! 25 mins to be exact. it turns out i had to go home in a neck brace. I felt like a walking stick because i could'nt move my neck.
so scary to think that one pill couldve killed you, and you would not be here with us. I cried, and cried again when I hear about the little boy who didnt make it :(

when you talked about the little boy i got chills down my whole body..such a crazy story..you should write a letter to the hospital or send them this video letting them know how much the little things like volunteers really make a difference in recovery

Thank you for being so comfortable and honest. My brother was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 7 or 8 years old. This was very difficult for my family because my dad's brother had this disease and passed away due to complications so this was very scary at the time. Obviously there were many days were we all day a the hospitals and He is doing great with it now and there has been some complication but nothing that we haven't gotten through with. I hope my story makes you feel at peace

Awww, this made me cry :( It reminds me of when I was in 2nd grade, and I almost died of kidney failure :/ My doctors has misdiagnosed a kidney infection as an ear infection SOMEHOW... and it almost cost me my life, haha. Glad we're both fine now, haha :)
somting that happend to me which was about 2 years ago in 6th grade is that my brother was born and the biggest fight between my mom and dad it was so bad that my dad was thinking about devorcing my mom and i couldent concetrat in school my dad left us for about 3 mounths then he came back and he said that he just needed to be left alone for a time, but now every thing is okay now and my perents are happy together ........................blair ur so strong

you are so inspirational! i am literally on the verge of tears, right now! in sixth grade, my class did a community service project and we asked for toys for children in pediactric hospital near us. we got SO MANY and it wasn't like we got to hand them out, but it made everyone in my class feel so great, because we all helped and made someone's day. thank you for sharing i loved this video!!

Your so strong and amazing and thats why i reaalllllyyy look up to you your so amazing!!!!! in my sixth grade (7th now!!) i loved every minute exept when i feel ill with a stomach bug for 2 weeks and couldnt leave the house !!! i got soooo much better and i look back to it and think how supportive my mum was...mums are amazing!!

wow, you had the same disease, in the same year that my sister had, she was only two. she also stayed in the hospital for two weeks- i wish elle would do a throughout the years video i would love to hear her perspective of the situation (: by the way, having an experience like that really does make you stronger.

Blair, I'm so glad you told this story. Its really great to make more people aware, and I just wanted to let you know something. When I was little, I had a huge stuffed animal collection. This Christmas, I think I'm going to take those to my local hospital and donate it to the kids on the pediatric floor. Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us :) <3 you!

Oh my goodness, Blair! You're so strong. I can't even imagine how bad that would be! Sixth grade! My god. I couldn't even handle that at this age and I'm in the tenth grade! I'm so thankful you're healthy! And it's really wonderful to hear your story and everything, I've spent so much time in my life in the hospital with my grandparents and for myself too, it's just nice to know other people go through that. i know you said, that we shouldent say i'm sorry. but i really feal bad, ofcause for you but for all the childen there are sick, with cancer ore anything. Rigth now i feal like going out and save all the childen. I'm so locky that im not sick. And i cried (just a bit)
I really hope that everybody will recover. And survive. I will think of all the sick person all around the world, before i gotta go to sleep.

The fact that the cat didn't like you before and you telling us you are a dog-person and thinking this is why he didn't like you, proves how sensitive that cat is!
Next to that, I had a cat like this myself. He always knew. Even before I knew sometimes.
I totally believe that this cat knew you where very sick.
You are a very strong person being able to tell so openly about this.

Thank you for being so comfortable and honest. My brother was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 7 or 8 years old. This was very difficult for my family because my dad's brother had this disease and passed away due to complications so this was very scary at the time. Obviously there were many days were we all day a the hospitals and He is doing great with it now and there has been some complication but nothing that we haven't gotten through with. I hope my story makes you feel at peace

Awww, this made me cry :( It reminds me of when I was in 2nd grade, and I almost died of kidney failure :/ My doctors has misdiagnosed a kidney infection as an ear infection SOMEHOW... and it almost cost me my life, haha. Glad we're both fine now, haha :)

somting that happend to me which was about 2 years ago in 6th grade is that my brother was born and the biggest fight between my mom and dad it was so bad that my dad was thinking about devorcing my mom and i couldent concetrat in school my dad left us for about 3 mounths then he came back and he said that he just needed to be left alone for a time, but now every thing is okay now and my perents are happy together ........................blair ur so strong

Your stories touching blair. God had his arms around you through those arms, lending you and your family faith and strength. :] Maybe you should submmit this story to the chickenn soup books. If you've never read them you HAVE to check them out. They are on reange of true stories of passed pets. death. love. dating. faith. and stories like yours. They always make me smile or laugh. Sometimes even cry. Just chek in one of thier books and it shows an adress you can mail or e-mail your story to.
