this thing is really useful but i got some rushes in bikini area.......... can tell me what to use after using of this in my skin? plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
@98sunday you can use aloe vera or soothing gel after epilating. normally, the redness goes away after a few hours. on sensitive areas, might be a little longer.
@raghuma1 An epilator plucks the hair out really really fast with lots of tiny tweezers. It's like waxing except it doesn't rip off a layer of skin or leave a sticky mess. But it's alot more painful.
wow!! i tried when my hair was long but not as long as yours and it hurt like crap!!! it works better for me when the hair is really short like a day or two after shaving with a razor
Hmm I have a question.. I havent waxed or shaved my hands and legs till now... Its like same hair since childhood.. they arent very thick.. so i wanted to ask will epilating for the 1st time on unwaxed or unshaved skin will work? or do i need to 1st remove hair with wax or some hair removal cream etc and then start using the epilator next time my hair grows?
@Qtcherrygrl No need. you can use epilator without waxing or shaving. but for a first timer, it might be too painful. try waxing it first so you'll know what to expect.
Anyone can let me know Where to get this! i find for a really long time, but every website is for us but im from malaysia! anyone know where to get this in malaysia?
@kpFISH425 I find it difficult to find one here in our country too. I ordered this on ebay.com. Ordering it abroad is waaayyy more cheaper than buying stocks from here. This model is not even available here in our country.
@kpFISH425 hi, this model is braun 7281. Cheapest i find in ebay.com for this model is $99.99 without the shipping yet. shipping charge will depend on your location.
It doesn't hurt at all, you shouldn't be using it in circular motions, only up and down slowly, then rotate the epilator. Put it at easy mode, not fast mode. Theres 0, 1 , 2, always push the dial to number 1. It's really ticklish if you calm down and relax about it.
@pmarquesf hello! my epilator's model is the one that came before yours. anyway, when i clean it, i detach the epilator head and clean it with a small brush, soap and water. as for the shaver, hmm, mine is separate from the epilator head and yours are joined, right? i don't wash my shaver with water, i just use the brush that came with it.
Hi, I have the same epilator as you. Just wondering, which cap did you use? (like there's the shaverhead, epilatorPro, etc.) and I am just CONFUSED as to which one to use for the legs. I just used the standard shaver cap; the hairs come off but not the roots. Did you use the same cap as me? And I have no prior experience in waxing, so would it hurt to try other caps?
@pointandshootsucks i'm not sure about the name of the caps but i use the one with massage thingy. it's the epilator cap with tiny massagers on both side. when you use the shaver cap, it'll just shave the hair. trim it. not pull it from the roots compared to epilator cap bec it has tweezers. it might be painful at the beginning but pain goes away as soon as the hairs are pulled. =) you'll get used to it after a while. in fact, when i epilate my legs now, i don't feel as pain at all. lol.
@jessicaiyer it does hurt when you're not used to waxing. I wax for more than 3 years before using epilator so I'm used to the pain and it doesn't hurt at all when I epilate.
@I3errylicious aw, what's the brand of the first epilator you bought? well there's a technique in using it. my first few usage also just cuts the hair off, and i learned the proper way and it really works well.
It looks like it worked really well. Did it remove most of the hair from the root or just break it at the surface. Just wondering because I am thinking about purchasing this model.
@michellewolfe24 with proper usage, it's able to pull the hair from the roots. I did the method used in waxing, when you wax, you pull against the hair direction, and that's what i did with this epilator. i glide it against the hair growth and made sure its as close to the skin as possible. works well ;)
Didn't work that well for me. T_T
