Hmm~this doesn't look that bad. I think they are making a fairly good use of the CGI even though the original hand-drawn 2d is preferred. I kinda like that now they are going for the stylized character designs like with Astro Boy, rather than making them look like "real people".

Give me hand-drawn Gatchaman from 1972-74 ANY day before this soulless, empty, predictable, computer game junk food. I know it takes a lot of work but was there anything in that that you haven't seen before? The original characters looked different from any other anime, before or since, these look as generic as possible.

Actually, this is going to be much more loyal to the Gatchaman storyline than any of the US releases (G-Force, Eagle Riders, and Battle of the Planets). From what I have heard, Bruce Timm is going to be one of the writers and Imagi has impressed me so far with their work.
