When I played this, I really liked the overhead "tree" textures. It really gave a sense that you were in a forest. I'm glad they were able to put textures up above the player to simulate trees.

It is 3D. It's not up to today's standards because it was released in a day when they stuck flat textures on polygons and it looked amazing for the time.

Now they tend to use bump maps and stuff with their textures so things have actual depth.

I love that I can see the cut scenes now by watching this...when I play LOL3 on my laptop the game crashes spectacularly when I reach a cut scene, so I have to be quick with the esc key to save all the work I'd just done (I'm not as good with the saving as you are lol)

I think the best part of this game is the last heir to the throne has the perfect excuse for killing random npcs and robbing his own capital blind - He has no soul! Not his fault, he lost his soul.

The Plasma staff, a good magic staff to start out with, but I still prefer the Vulcan one... Usually I walk into the fire world just to get it and then take on the Frozen wastes with it and the masque of shadow...

Yes, you see him again at the start of the Frozen Wastes level, rambling on how the amazones don't like him... and that's the only time. (If you revisit him later at that same place before going to the last level, he'll be dead)
