I understand the boom holding that platform is insulated and non conductive, but those arcs are telling me that there is a very slight potential somewhere. Would I be correct in assuming it's the moisture or humidity or perhaps negative ions clinging to the outside of your body as well as the boom and everything else.
@TheRantingCabbie The platform is isolated from ground. The arcs are made because the electricity is energizing the men and the platform. There is no current flow to the platform. In normal use, we would use a wand to energize the platform. This was from our training. The instructor was demonstrating the feel of breaking away from the conductor, only used in an emergency. He did not want us to be hesitant.
