Thanks to Labours incompentency there are 50,000 few nurses Lol! 13 years of Debt cheers mate you absolute politically correct retard!!! Oh and War we can't afford either just think Alex how better we would be Now if Labour never got in back in 1997 because when they took over we were a rich nation we were thriving and business was on the way up but now we're back to square one just like in 1979 but hey ho tell you what You lefties do the orff and the rest of us wont have any probs!!!
Anyone could have governed successfully from 1997 to 2007. You can call the Tories cruel until you're blue in the face but they left the country a far, far more wealthy place than it was in 1979.
Possibly the best campaign video I've seen, genuinely terrifying stuff. I'm so glad we had 13 years to steer this country back in the right direction, let's hope people can resist Cameron's axe and not let the tories take us back 20 years.
The message in this film is just as valid in 2010 as it was in 1997. Even with Cameron's airbrushed persona, they are (once you rub through the veneer) the same old Tories hellbent on cutting anything and everything to high heaven, at the expense of the greater good.
The economy had over 4 years of growth before Labour came in they have bankrupted us. They have given us the worst recession ever 4.8% negative growth this year is the worst since 1921. Were also due a double dip recession. Gold was sold at a 20 year low if sold now we would have received £9 billion more.
I really don't think u can blame Labour for a GLOBAL financial crisis, which developed due to conservative policies in USA(George W. Bush). At the end of the day,the TRUE test of a government,is how it looks after low income and working families, during a downturn. I don't think many working families in the UK will be very happy, when the Tories embark on their standard slash & burn policies, taking a BIG AXE to services including NHS & aged care, while sacking nurses, teachers & police.
Ir amazes me that anyone votes for ANY of these scumbag parties. The lot of them are full of nothing but self-serving liars, thieves and generally degenerate filth.
Odd how this video doesn't actually say anything about Labour's policies. I suppose that was calculated - Britain is a poor place to live these days. Hopefully someone can rescue her before it's too late.
Thank goodness Labour saved us from such a horrible way of life. They have made this the best country in the world to live now. God bless Blair and Brown. We owe them so much.
I don't understand why Labour loves to actually LIE its way into power. Labour has not gained anything to be proud of. We do not have a good NHS or state education system. Crime rates are high and Mr.Darling is speaking out of his back side in thinking that you can spend your way out of debt. Labour totally disagrees with the Conservative Values that this great country was built on and it is not surprising our greatest peace time and war Prime Minister's were Conservatives.
The tories are self-serving elitests who only represent the vice chancelloers of top universities and CEOs of top companies. They care nothing for the ordinary people who struggle to make inroads in life. Opportunity ust be for all, not for the privilged.
Its ok voting for a mainstream party, but thats where it starts and ends, your whole life and meaning has no more relevance than the cross you make in that box,
At least with the BNP you can actively see them campaigning and fighting on our behalf, they get despised by the immigrants, attacked by loony lefties, shunned by the government and slandered by the media, yet they keep battling for us.
we must never let those rotten Torrie's back in NEVER our great country will be ruined if that happens ..we must work to destroy the Conservative party
Love this Election broadcast why can they be this imaginitive anymore!! Labours used to be right classics. All ive grown up with is a Labour government! Tony Blair you ask what are my three priorities and i tell you Education Education Education! Still stands out oh and the other one Tough on Crime tough on the causes of crime!
Might be a surprise then that the Queen got along best with Callaghan & Wilson, both Labour Prime Ministers. Of course they were real men not phonies like your man Brown.
For the first time in my life I don't care who wins the next election. Labour/Conservatives are the same. They both backed the invaion of Iraq whih was unforgivable in my book.
The Labour party just does not represent working people anymore. As for there illiberal policies.Innocent children on a database.Innocent children being figerprinted.Crazy laws where people get charged under anti-terrorist laws for reading out the names of the lives lost in an illiegal war.The list is endless!
Thank you james. Love this political broadcast. Sums everything that is Tory, dark and grim time. Best political broadcast ever...people forget what they we're like.
That the Conservatives introduced any tax-rises at all upon the country was a national disgrace, especially considering that they sold off the "the family silver" (Harold MacMillan's words) to bring extra money into the treasury. Alas, it pains me as a Labour supporter to say that nothing has been done to reverse this trend, as I speak the government are looking at further privatisations; Forestry Commission, Channel Four - you're next.
Enough of the quite frankly pointless political ranting here - none of you are going to persuade anyone else with your bickering. Whatever your allegiance just enjoy the broadcast for what it was - brilliantly made and almost hysterical by the end. Weird how they put a sandcastle on Brighton beach, even though it's a pebble beach!
Milt, it would not. Overall, Labour have improved the country while they have been in office, while John Major's government tangibly damaged the country. If you substituted Labour for the Tories in this video it would simply be incorrect, as the facts that are broached in this video cannot be disputed. So do not be so blase. Major's government were most definitely bad for the NHS, schools and public services.
How typical you are of Britain's horde of vacuous, soulless Liberal Democrats.
You are nothing other than a hopeless faction of the Conservative party. Each Labour policy implemented to improve the lives of the poorest has been derided by the liberals, who are also averse to punishing the wealthiest in society just like their blue-blooded bedfellows are.
Despite their rhetoric, the Liberal Democrats are as opportunistic, populist, gutless and careless as the Tories.
It's a bit rich to winge about 22 tory tax rises since Blair said during the 1997 election campaign that they would be "no tax rises at all" and to date there have been 149 tax rises, admittedly there have been tax cuts to like the 2p tax cut on the 40% tax bracket while at the same time abolishing the 10p taxc rate to pay for it, so 2p off for the rich 10p on for the poor, that really is very Gordon Brown incompatent and doesn't have an idea about people.
Actually they are cutting 2p on the 22% tax bracket but i agree this is injustice to the poorest in society. If they go ahead with this plan this would dangeriously dived the Labour Party. Bring back the Old Left and socialism in labour thats what i say.
I don't understand? under the Labour party the NHS is now in half a billion pound dept and there is alot more staff cuts. I am sorry to say this but the Conservatives take better care then of Labour. Sorry to say it like that but it is true.
Sorry but you've got your facts wrong. The NHS WAS in debt but now thanks to extra funding given by the Labour government, the NHS is now in surplus, with only one PCT in the country under the break-even point.
lol, tories run the NHS better than Labour? Huge investment, more nurses, more doctors etc. When was the last time you heard of a winter crisis that occured every year during the 90s? Some people have very short memories...
Well said ilmms, the problem is people of voting age now were only 6 or7 years old when the Tories were last in power, they should talk to people who went through the 80s with this lot. I'm 44 and would never vote for the nasty party, if people think the NHS has problems now they should remember that the Tories were investing half of what France and Germany were in their health services, it really was on its last legs in 97. Same old story, same old Tory.
Subtext? Vote for these people? They need a bigger majority to do their job? if the Labour Party had been seriously wanting people to vote for them they would have listed what they'd want to do?
This was not a political broadcast to increase Labour majority.
As Labour was not in government at this time, this broadcast was to acquire one. It shows what people would get if they did not vote Labour in 1997. There were other political broadcasts around this time which did set out what Labour wanted to do. Some are also on my channel.
I never trusted Blair ever BUT however now that Brown is in I do like what he is doing. What I meant is that concentrating on the opposition in a broadcast is a way of actually "praising with faint damnation", showing you are more scared of them than proud of what you have to offer.

Cameron is an imbicile.
But ALL tories will be voting this time (cus they have a chance - they only vote when they have a chance, to sneak up on us).
And all these peopel going round slagging brown off, well who are they ? Bloody tories, bnp, and every other royalist around.
Anyone who waves the Royal flag is preparing against labourt because if Brown is voted back in, they may NEVER get him out.
ALL the screw ups are subvertion by the tories, and all successes are despite them.
