The underlying law of nature may be the world's most useful, profitable and encouraging knowledge.
e.g., It is the most effective and efficient means to improve the performance of any process.
Great personal, economic and societal advantages exist to identifying the underlying law of nature first hand, for oneself, and to understanding and applying its principles.
It would be difficult to draw comparisons between male circumcision and FGM.
FGM is much more painful and has a greater immediate risk to the child's life.
Whilst circumcision is not known to have negative health or psychological impacts (perhaps because it happens at such a young age), FGM does including recurrent infections involving urine and trapped blood form menses, their ability to enjoy sex and increases in infant and maternal morbidity and mortality during and after childbirth
"If men were being cut this way the cultural arguments would fade away"
Hardly. The fact that the genitals of male infants and boys ARE being cut in all cultures that cut girls is what stagnates discussion about ending genital mutilation of girls. It is the false reverence that religion (culture) demands that perpetuates many forms of child abuse, genital cutting (male and female) being the most heinous.
It is time to end ALL "genital cutting" sexual mutilation of ALL children.
Fascinating concepts. To have this so easily accessed is phenomenal.
