  • rename the video, it is not cutting fish fillets...it's already done

  • Two problems: first, it's mis-titled, "How to Fillet Fish". We are told how to care for filleted fish (that's step 2 dude). Second, we are all told without reservation that we should remove the skin for "curling during cooking, and it imparts an undesirable flavor." Undesirable flavor? The skin packs large amounts of highly beneficial Omega 3 fatty acids and tastes quite good when seasoned with salt and cooked to crispy texture. Oh, and just cut before cooking to avoid all that "curling".

  • I finally found an expertvillage video I can follow and the video actualyl explaines how to do it.

  • sick hair

  • wow, he destroyed that filet. fucking douchebag.

  • Everyone knows the skin is the best part of the animal. Come on we make pork rinds lol and I switched to Popeye's from KFC cuz KFC takes half the skin out. Skin is where it's at >:)

  • @pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR you're overweight arent you?

  • @p00pshit no? I'm average. I live in the city and I don't eat skins everyday. At least twice a month. It's called "regulating". Are YOU overweight?

  • @pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR no, I just loathe fat people

  • he started before they said "action"

  • Thanks Bruce-we have followed your videos and gutted, scaled and filleted our fish ourselves for the first time.

  • HAHAHA HIS HAIR IS WIN WIN WIN

  • so is ur dad!

  • dude, it's called an accent. how the fuck do you say it?

  • this guy is a fukin idiot its fillet not filley

  • Fillet is a french word, the t is silent. He's saying it right, if you pronounce the 't' on the end you're saying it wrong.

  • uh im australian mate not fukin french not every1 ere ses fillet ive not heard one person ere in australia once say filley and i dnt giv a fuk bout the french

  • @sniper1250 what about 'often'?

  • just because you're australian doesn't mean you have to be so stupid.

  • hahahaha... you're embarassing yourself so just stop. Australia is well liked, don't ruin that for everyone!

  • hahaha nice one!!!

  • its pronounced like that dumbass

  • YOU SAID IT WRONG...:D

  • HaHa you are the idiot. Durrr how do I say fillet?!

  • he ses fillet wrong wat a diikhed

  • Skin imparts undesirable flavour? What? Most of the fish taste is IN the skin, nothing better than nice and crisp skin unless the fish is old. No need for a sharp fillet knife? Yeah just use that dull knife to rip that poor fish apart. To prevent it from twisting with skin on, just drop it in the pan and press down on it for a couple seconds while it sets or slice the skin. Why cut it into lots of small pieces? They will be dry and tasteless. Poor advice all around.

  • it would appear everyone is quite unimpressed with this video. i thought it was pretty good. thats an odd skinning technique though. i prefer to just skin the whole thing at once and then cut the fish into pieces. i also like to beer batter the fish and deep fry it like a total fatass. dont forget the lemon. i'm going to stop typing now.

  • Was it really necesary to make this a 5 part series? Jeebus...

  • one last thing..the skin will come off during the cooking process with no effort. Just start cooking at hight heat with the skin facing down. Flip the fish to cook on both sides and gently remove the skin. That's it.

  • I disagree. A sharp knife IS fundamental as you can see from the video you are DESTROYING that fish. plus the skin holds all the omega3 fats that are good for you and to be cooked with the fish. They also allow to cook the fish without adding any extra oil or butter whatsoever..and the taste is just fine

  • hi im bruce im a dummy i dont know hot to cook fish i dont know that if u slice the skin a litle bit ut wont curl...hmm thats good info there. lol expert village...more like expert dumass

  • Lmao.....best insult so far nice job

    "expert dumass"

  • thanks for the info Bruce
