253ci = 4.14L
The ecotec V6 pushrod 3.8L you think is Australian, is actually an L36 Buick POS engine, which is an updated L27, which is an updated version of an engine that came out in about 1962.
Your seriously misinformed, best thing you could have done was swap it out for an L67 (supercharged version from VS Calais /VT's)
Its a better boat anchor.

Matty mate mate mate the engine is the same design/blueprints from 1962.They have just changed things over the years like EFI.Sorry to disapoint you but all holdens engines and drive trains came from the US.Its only the chassis,body shap ect ect that is Australian design.Ford Australia also does this but we do have the 100% Australian owned 4.0L I6.Buddy i think you should pull your head out them mag's and start working on them

@mjr350 Well the 308 is Australian but is baised of the 307 from the states and the 204 is a remake of the old 308(5L) with EFI. But yes you are right they are Australian built. Thing is i wasnt talking about the v8 range but anyway when it comes to the present modal its all American Engine and Drivetrain. Not tryen to offend anyone but just clearing it up

Also if you can understand how the 3.8L design has been used from 1962 well then you shouldnt be commenting. Know then speak!
