Now Detroit is stuck with the lousy Lions til December. Its very sad that i cant share game 7this year with 16,000 plus of my closest friends at the Mellon! And its all because of NBC and their concerns about ratings :( the CBC or our local FSN affiliates would never let this happen!

Same thing happened in Detroit this year. Our Money goes to charity as well. The NHL had a say in the CBC as well this year because (i know you cant tell) this was a CBC feed of the game.

Yah...the CBC approached the Pens this year and offered us their feed for free via satellite as well and needless to say the NHL cowtowed to NBC and prevented that! Its really sad that moments like what this video embodies are taken away from us because of one greedy network!

I remember so fondly last year ('08) when I was at the Mellon arena and the Pittsbutgh fans sold out the arena for game 2 (which was played on Detroit)! We paid $5, which all went to charity, to watch the game on an equally as crappy screen as the one at the Joe! Its despicable that ONE network can s trip these potential memories from us! its too late for this year, but we gotta do something! especially in leu of the NHL renewing the NBC contract!
