I am from Nova Scotia, lived in the U.S. for 14 years, left because the American dream was stolen by the neocons. If Ron Paul gets elected, I am back down there is a heartbeat. Canadian politicians are all corrupt and care only about themselves and fleecing the Canadian sheep who are too docile and apathetic to take any real action to stop it. Wead again pointing out that Paul's hindsight obliterated pretty much all the other politicians and economists who follow the failed policies of Keynesian economics.
Cavuto anchor should not have mentioned FDR as one of the good ones. FDR was one of the worst presidents ever and only gets praise because he was in office during end of war. Same with Woodrow Wilson, that man should have saved half a million American lives and not send them to die in Europe's mustard gas filled trenches.
It makes me laugh when Ron Paul haters call him a "Neville Chamberlain". First off, the demands/claims made by Hitler in the mid-late 1930's were reasonable-- anyone who knows anything about the political climate in the world at that time and the aftermath of the First World War knows that Germany got absolutely screwed at Versailles.
Chamberlain knew this and opted for peace. It wasn't until Poland.... which was invaded by Germany AND the Soviet Union. Most people aren't supposed to know this.
Truth... even if we're not supposed to say it. Churchill pulled a 180 on Hitler-- for most of his career he praised Hitler's accomplishments. He regarded Germany as an important buffer zone, and Hitler the strong-man leader Europe needed to keep communism at bay.
Pat Buchanan wrote a book "Hitler, Churchill, and the Unnecessary War" in which he makes a very compelling case that WW2 was avoidable, and hence the millions of casualties that came with the dreadful conflict.
@bobshenix We aren't stupid Poland was the last straw but if you really believe that Hitler wasn't in this for world domination you need to wake up!..Patton was right we should have gone on and taken out the Soviets, Thier Gulags still exist today they just hide it to the world ..They are not free nor converted.Listen to soviet defectors and you will know that the Gulags are filled with over 50 million people..They have spread thier erorors throughout the entire world!
Of course Patton was right... he knew what was going on and had the balls to speak his mind, controversial or not. Why do you think he wound up dead a mere FOUR MONTHS after WW2 ended??
While others towed the party line for the establishment, Patton made plain his indignation. How could America have entered a war [in which thousands of young men perished] to save Europe, yet be willing to end hostilities as a victor with half the continent gift-wrapped for communist takeover??

If you knew anything about what Churchill really did & said & wrote - then you would know that Ron Paul is a twice the statesman Churchill ever was - Churchill to save his job & Earl Greys convinced Asquith's Govt to attack Germany during WW1 & made Britain's Empire come in on the side of the Aggressor nations - France Serbia & Russia - that abomination led directly to a weakened vengeful Germany & WW2. It led to the deaths of millions of British soldiers, including my uncles! Churchill was scum
@infokemp Continued - Churchill (when he was in the political wilderness) in 1934 also met Putzi Hafenstahl - Hitlers political aide to suggest an alliance, due to Churchill's arrogance he would not accept Italy as part of a European Alliance against Stalin (a mess murder like lenin who had killed 65 million people) - when Hitler was late for the meeting Churchill left. - Later in WW2 Churchill made an alliance with the Soviet menace even though they had also invaded Poland, he was unprincipled.
@infokemp Continue - you can check these events out in Robert Kilzer's Book Churchill's deception & nial Fergusson's Pity of War - Ron Paul is a man of principle - even if you don't agree with him he is way better than the unprincipled immoral pragmatic Churchill - Churchill engineered a situation between 1936 -1945 where there where no general election in Britain - where as Ron Paul believes in Constitutionalism & democratic election. I don't like some of RP's views but he is principled.
i can't wait to read my grandchildren's history books about all the shit that us and our parents and children lived through haha with ron paul i don't expect the county to just ZAP perfect. but i feel that if his idea can manifest i believe this country will go on to accomplish the most amazing things in the history of man. think about it. JFK TOOK US TO THE MOON IN 1969. IMAGINE what ron paul could do in 2013
Doug Wead is the best advisor you can get to an even better politician. Ron Paul 2012,, if the American people do not vote for that,,, well then there is no hope.
@EmeraldIsleStar Exactly, Ron Paul is more like the Huey P. Long of our time. We wouldn't have gone into WW2 if he was president because we would have been trading freely with the Germans and Japanese. I just hope to God he doesn't share the same fate as the king fish.
I'm a french Canadian from Montréal, I sincerely think about moving and working in America, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave if Ron Paul becomes President.
@911SMOM Same here, I'm from Trois-Rivieres (Beside Montreal, Quebec) and Ron Paul makes me so proud of the USA, that I would move there if he was in power! Ron Paul 2012!!!
@911SMOM we will welcome you with open arms! if our beurocratic system doesnt give you a hard time coming in. oh im ashamed of our immigration policy. it should be more fluid.
@911SMOM Why not spread Ron Paul's message of freedom to Canada? Our government is also extremely bloated trying to take care of everyone with substandard healthcare and ridiculously high taxes. We also have to borrow money from china to fuel our welfare nation. People have become far to dependent on government to run our lives for us.
@911SMOM That is true. I am just afraid of the globalists assassinating Ron Paul should he be elected. That is what happened to Kennedy. His agenda to dismantle the FED and withdraw from the UN will severely cripple the design by the globalists to destroy the sovereignty of every nation. If his policies are implemented, America will become a beacon of freedom and prosperity amongst the evil forces that are overcoming the rest of the world! Their New World Order comes crashing down!!!
Well yes... but people know too much now. We are not in the 60s, nor in the 90s too.
People wouldn't be duped by some "3 names lone deranged killer". And there would be another kind of Revolution, bad or good.
Well, yes, lots of things could be put into place to change a lot of America and a little of the world, depending how the people in America and elsewhere educate themselves about the real deep politics. There's so many levels of deception.
@911SMOM Same here, I've never been interested in visiting, let alone living and working in the US, especially not with those immoral presidents they have had in the past few decades. Should Ron Paul become president, though, this might change...
@911SMOM I'm also a Québécois from Montréal, and I'd LOVE to go to California is Ron Paul gets the presidency, but if not.. depending on what happens (Iran war, violations of civil liberties, big government control) I might want to actually flee to Europe..
Come on USA, restore your own country, RON PAUL 2012!
HAHAHA! I don't know if it's such a good idea... I'm so tired of the socialist propaganda here... and people love it, unless you go in "Texan" Canada, Alberta or Saskatchewan. LOL!
IF AMERICAN PEOPLE pay less attentionS on KARDASHIANs????? , AND put more attention on WHAT'S GOING ON in USA perhaps we WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN in this mess.....shams hoq..lol RON PAUL 2012
the usa is not capable of leading the world anymore, because it is under heavy influence of the jewish lobby and the corporates. ron paul can make sway of this, otherwise we may see a power shift in the world order.
@traderseneca not just jewish, but christianity also. The difference is that jewish represent a minority, yet they have WAY more power than any other minority, possibly combined.
There are more atheists than jews but their influence is not even comparable
The point of this all should be, however, that they (Ron Paul and others) are the voice and the messenger - but we the people need to be the moral muscle. And by that I don't mean we need to be an army, we need to be individuals as a group of people (Americans) and stand up for what is right. A man can die but his ideas can stay alive quite easily.
@Itugen88 In your eyes, intolerance is America not spending billions in U.S. tax dollars on imperialist-globalist wars that resemble the plans of Hitler and the Nazis. You're anti-American scum who doesn't care that America is going bankrupt from excessive deficit spending. It's time to take care of our own people here in America;
This guy is a historian and he supports ron paul, that is very clear to me,that a man who knows about hystory,he knows why Ron Paul is the only choice.Plesae save the world, vote Ron Paul
@kevinherbert You're a big-spending pro-war liberal ObamaBush supporter who would rather spend billions in U.S. tax dollars to invade sovereign nations and police the world. These globalist-imperialist wars are unconstitutional and similar to the plans of Hitler and the Nazis. Most Americans will agree, it's time to take care of America first; spend the money to rebuild our decaying infrastructure, create new jobs and heal our weak economy.
@thenobs123 Unfortunately for you it is true. Ron Paul is the only electable candidate. Its unfortunate that their are many ill informed people out there in America, alot of them uneducated because of a failure in the system. A system that is so corrupt, so abused and in which the people are controlled by the media. I like to remind myself that I have a mind, and that whether they tell me or not I shall form my OWN opinion. The wars are illegal and US GOVERNMENT>EVIL!
Read the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution, the Federalist Papers, Bastiat's The Law. Know the history of USA or you can't support & defend it. Restore America 2012 Ron Paul RonPaul2012dotcom 1835 “Minute” on India written by Thomas Babington Macaulay; A government cannot be wrong in punishing fraud or force, but it is almost certain to be wrong if, abandoning its legitimate function, it tells private individuals that it knows their business better than they know it themselves.
When I think of Churchill, I think of his foreign policy standing up to Hitler and not appeasing him. That would mean somebody who wants the War On Terror, Rick Santorum for instance.
@MyTotalRemedy Churchill didn't want war, he wanted to prevent it, he spent a long time trying to warn about Hitler, but he never suggested invading Germany as a solution !! Be prepared to defend was his axiom, as with Dr Paul. Stop being the invadors, and have a strong defense. That may prevent the war in the first place.
Totally in line with Dr Paul, and the total opposite of warmonger Santorum. Churchill was too smart to wage war on a tactic.
@Iain1962 Total BS. Churchill was a warmonger of the first order. He also served in the Boer War, whose concentration camps served as the model for Hitler's concentration camps and the gulags. He got us into a war not of our own. Sure, Hitler would have destroyed Europe, but that's their problem. WW2 did more damage to our Country and the Constitution than almost any single other event. Churchill sold Poland and Czechoslovakia to Stalin, when saving them from Hitler was the supposed casus belli.
@SakaScotii Total BS. Churchill did not "serve" in the Boer war, he was a reporter who got caputered and escaped but he was not in the military.
Churchill was appointed Prime Minister on 10th May 1940 the day after Hitler invaded Holland Belgium and France so how did he get anybody "into" a war?
As for the post war scenario there was little that could be done about that short of starting a war with Russia.
@Iain1962 I understand why you might say he did not serve, but my statements were correct. He may have been a 'correspondent', but he was also in the military at that time. Because this is not key to our argument, let us just say that we were both right.
And what I meant by 'he got us into war', was not that 'he started the war', but more that 'he was instrumental in involving the US in the Atlantic theater, which was not in our best interests'.
@SakaScotii He was in the military prior to that time in the Sudan, but if you are a journalist you are not a soldier.
Without US assistance during the Battle of the Atlantic we would have been starved of both food and supplies, without US assistance to Russia they would have struggled to keep Hitler at bay. At that time there was only one focus beating Hitler, the post war situation wasn't a concern until it was clear Hitler was defeated.
@Iain1962 He made mistakes, but he had to do what he could, Britain and the Empire had been more or less bankrupted by the war and as the war ended the people voted him out and went with Clement Attlee, so he wasn't responsable directly for the post war situation either. and FDR died in April 1945.
So I am afraid you need to go back and study up a bit.
@Iain1962 Now perhaps Churchill was a damned fine leader, and maybe that is why Ron Paul SHOULD be compared to him, and I do realize that most people have a positive reaction to men such as Churchill, and therefore any comparison of Paul to him will serve Ron Paul's cause. I do not deny any of this. So, in light of that, perhaps my criticisms of Churchill in this thread are counter-productive.
At least we actually Declared War in 1941 instead of blindly ceding to FDR discretionary 'war' powers.
@Iain1962 Oh, and Happy Pearl Harbor Day! Good thing we cut off the Japanese oil supply or we never would have had the chance to celebrate the 70th anniversary of that glorious moment, been able to give Stalin Eastern Europe, and test not one, but TWO nuclear weapons on those darn Nip-scum!
We should mind our own business until the homeland is threatened. I don't remember any of the warmongering congress in the 1930s accepting any Jewish refugees from Germany to come here when they had the chance.
We helped Stalin to get at Hitler. Don't talk to me about killing millions of innocents.
@Iain1962 Not a soldier, but a current member of the military.
Starved by whom? Someone that was not at that point a foe? Or our 'allies' in an attempt to cajole us?
Hitler, Stalin, no difference. Our decision to side with one and not the other was arbitrary outside of the machinations of the British war machine.
We gave Eastern Europe to Stalin in return for NOTHING. Not because we had to, mind you, but because we were appeasers in a way Chamberlain could only dream of.
@SakaScotii Starved by Nazi Germany sinking all our supply boats...
If you had read Churchill's memoires on WWII you would know that he wanted to take the Balkans in 1943 but FDR disapproved and instead the troops were used to land at Anzio and in the South of France.
Chamberlain wasn't really the appeaser although history has flasely recorded him as such, he bought time while we rebuilt our armed forces that Stanley Baldwin (the real appeaser) had allowed to go to nothing.
@Iain1962 ...Yalta Accords will say that we did get something in return : the Russians promised to help us fight the Japanese.
That is all fine and good until you realize what happened instead:
Before the Russians even had a chance to declare war on the Japs, we dropped a nuke on them. They were prepared to surrender. THen the Russians got involved. They were even more ready to surrender. Then, for reasons I can not fathom (other than the bloodthirstiness of men like Truman and a cynical...
@Iain1962 ...use of advanced technology and nuclear physics), we decided to drop another one.
This has nothing to do with hindsight or idealism. It has to do with whether todays heroes, who did what they did for what they may have thought were good reasons, are really as admirable as the conventional wisdom purports them to be.
It was Churchill and FDR that were at the Yalta Accords making concessions, not Attlee and Truman.
@Iain1962 And to contend that it is only hindsight that allows us to critically examine the motives and actions of men, is to assert that their motives and actions were not under scrutiny at the time of their occurence, and often by men much more worthy of our praise than either FDR or Churchill.
@MyTotalRemedy Getting hit with a paintball would give Santorum a fit. There is no war on terror (the 'war' is undeclared, is not fought conventionally, is unwinnable because it just produces more terrorists and costs untold billions that we don't have, perpetuates and justifies our central bank's manipulation of our currency, and is fought against a tactic, not a defined group). Churchill didn't stand up to Hitler, he just liked a good fight and making some money for his profiteering friends.
We should all donate to Dr. Pauls campaign on Sept. 17th for the constitution day money bomb. Lets get him the funds necessary to win this thing and BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!!
The Tea Party has been hijacked by the GOP and extreme-right-religious voters. You can bet plenty of gays, anti-war, liberal and Independents like Ron Paul's platform! If they don't, then they don't realize what Ron Paul stands for. Get INFORMED AMERICA! Get Ron Paul as the Republican nomination 2012!

We also have to borrow money from china to fuel our welfare nation. People have become far to dependent on government to run our lives for us.

911SMOM 1 month ago

Ron Paul = Churchill
The point of this all should be, however, that they (Ron Paul and others) are the voice and the messenger - but we the people need to be the moral muscle. And by that I don't mean we need to be an army, we need to be individuals as a group of people (Americans) and stand up for what is right. A man can die but his ideas can stay alive quite easily.

@Itugen88 In your eyes, intolerance is America not spending billions in U.S. tax dollars on imperialist-globalist wars that resemble the plans of Hitler and the Nazis. You're anti-American scum who doesn't care that America is going bankrupt from excessive deficit spending. It's time to take care of our own people here in America;

These globalist-imperialist wars are unconstitutional and similar to the plans of Hitler and the Nazis. Most Americans will agree, it's time to take care of America first; spend the money to rebuild our decaying infrastructure, create new jobs and heal our weak economy.

When I think of Churchill, I think of his foreign policy standing up to Hitler and not appeasing him. That would mean somebody who wants the War On Terror, Rick Santorum for instance.
MyTotalRemedy 4 months ago
@MyTotalRemedy Churchill didn't want war, he wanted to prevent it, he spent a long time trying to warn about Hitler, but he never suggested invading Germany as a solution !! Be prepared to defend was his axiom, as with Dr Paul. Stop being the invadors, and have a strong defense. That may prevent the war in the first place.
Totally in line with Dr Paul, and the total opposite of warmonger Santorum. Churchill was too smart to wage war on a tactic.
Iain1962 3 months ago
@Iain1962 Total BS. Churchill was a warmonger of the first order. He also served in the Boer War, whose concentration camps served as the model for Hitler's concentration camps and the gulags. He got us into a war not of our own. Sure, Hitler would have destroyed Europe, but that's their problem. WW2 did more damage to our Country and the Constitution than almost any single other event. Churchill sold Poland and Czechoslovakia to Stalin, when saving them from Hitler was the supposed casus belli.
SakaScotii 3 months ago
@SakaScotii Total BS. Churchill did not "serve" in the Boer war, he was a reporter who got caputered and escaped but he was not in the military.
Churchill was appointed Prime Minister on 10th May 1940 the day after Hitler invaded Holland Belgium and France so how did he get anybody "into" a war?
As for the post war scenario there was little that could be done about that short of starting a war with Russia.
Iain1962 2 months ago
@Iain1962 I understand why you might say he did not serve, but my statements were correct. He may have been a 'correspondent', but he was also in the military at that time. Because this is not key to our argument, let us just say that we were both right.
And what I meant by 'he got us into war', was not that 'he started the war', but more that 'he was instrumental in involving the US in the Atlantic theater, which was not in our best interests'.
In the end WC and FDR gave Eastern Europe to JS.
SakaScotii 2 months ago
@SakaScotii He was in the military prior to that time in the Sudan, but if you are a journalist you are not a soldier.
Without US assistance during the Battle of the Atlantic we would have been starved of both food and supplies, without US assistance to Russia they would have struggled to keep Hitler at bay. At that time there was only one focus beating Hitler, the post war situation wasn't a concern until it was clear Hitler was defeated.
Life is easy with 20-20 hindsight,
Iain1962 2 months ago
@Iain1962 He made mistakes, but he had to do what he could, Britain and the Empire had been more or less bankrupted by the war and as the war ended the people voted him out and went with Clement Attlee, so he wasn't responsable directly for the post war situation either. and FDR died in April 1945.
So I am afraid you need to go back and study up a bit.
Iain1962 2 months ago
@Iain1962 Now perhaps Churchill was a damned fine leader, and maybe that is why Ron Paul SHOULD be compared to him, and I do realize that most people have a positive reaction to men such as Churchill, and therefore any comparison of Paul to him will serve Ron Paul's cause. I do not deny any of this. So, in light of that, perhaps my criticisms of Churchill in this thread are counter-productive.
At least we actually Declared War in 1941 instead of blindly ceding to FDR discretionary 'war' powers.
SakaScotii 2 months ago
@Iain1962 Oh, and Happy Pearl Harbor Day! Good thing we cut off the Japanese oil supply or we never would have had the chance to celebrate the 70th anniversary of that glorious moment, been able to give Stalin Eastern Europe, and test not one, but TWO nuclear weapons on those darn Nip-scum!
SakaScotii 2 months ago
@SakaScotii Yeah, it's not like killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people should be looked down on or anything.
IHaveNoNameRawr 2 months ago
@IHaveNoNameRawr Did i say that?
We should mind our own business until the homeland is threatened. I don't remember any of the warmongering congress in the 1930s accepting any Jewish refugees from Germany to come here when they had the chance.
We helped Stalin to get at Hitler. Don't talk to me about killing millions of innocents.
SakaScotii 2 months ago
@SakaScotii Hitler was a bigger threat than Stalin. Stalin's shitty economic policies made sure of that.
IHaveNoNameRawr 2 months ago
@Iain1962 Not a soldier, but a current member of the military.
Starved by whom? Someone that was not at that point a foe? Or our 'allies' in an attempt to cajole us?
Hitler, Stalin, no difference. Our decision to side with one and not the other was arbitrary outside of the machinations of the British war machine.
We gave Eastern Europe to Stalin in return for NOTHING. Not because we had to, mind you, but because we were appeasers in a way Chamberlain could only dream of.

SakaScotii 2 months ago
@SakaScotii Starved by Nazi Germany sinking all our supply boats...
If you had read Churchill's memoires on WWII you would know that he wanted to take the Balkans in 1943 but FDR disapproved and instead the troops were used to land at Anzio and in the South of France.
Chamberlain wasn't really the appeaser although history has flasely recorded him as such, he bought time while we rebuilt our armed forces that Stanley Baldwin (the real appeaser) had allowed to go to nothing.
Iain1962 2 months ago
@Iain1962 ...Yalta Accords will say that we did get something in return : the Russians promised to help us fight the Japanese.
That is all fine and good until you realize what happened instead:
Before the Russians even had a chance to declare war on the Japs, we dropped a nuke on them. They were prepared to surrender. THen the Russians got involved. They were even more ready to surrender. Then, for reasons I can not fathom (other than the bloodthirstiness of men like Truman and a cynical...
SakaScotii 2 months ago
@Iain1962 ...use of advanced technology and nuclear physics), we decided to drop another one.
This has nothing to do with hindsight or idealism. It has to do with whether todays heroes, who did what they did for what they may have thought were good reasons, are really as admirable as the conventional wisdom purports them to be.
It was Churchill and FDR that were at the Yalta Accords making concessions, not Attlee and Truman.
SakaScotii 2 months ago
@Iain1962 And to contend that it is only hindsight that allows us to critically examine the motives and actions of men, is to assert that their motives and actions were not under scrutiny at the time of their occurence, and often by men much more worthy of our praise than either FDR or Churchill.
SakaScotii 2 months ago
@MyTotalRemedy Getting hit with a paintball would give Santorum a fit. There is no war on terror (the 'war' is undeclared, is not fought conventionally, is unwinnable because it just produces more terrorists and costs untold billions that we don't have, perpetuates and justifies our central bank's manipulation of our currency, and is fought against a tactic, not a defined group). Churchill didn't stand up to Hitler, he just liked a good fight and making some money for his profiteering friends.
