I cringe when watch / re-live The Strokes performances from that period of the band; the 2+ year ROM tours. None of the guys were happy with the album at the time b/c of how much little time they had to demo, record, and release ROM. Jules became an indifferent, raging alcoholic and it would suck the energy out of the band most of the time b/c they would either feed off of his indifference or just didn't want to be around him.
