I did a few runs in a 1.8 (1997), it def felt like it pulled out of the corners a little better. The back slide out more on throttle as well although that could be because the 1.8 I drove had an open differential and mine has a limited slip diff. I don't think there's that much difference. The 1.8 will probably be a tad quicker but some people prefer the faster reving little 1.6 (I do). Enjoy it!
yeah I always have the top down too, but then the only sound I was recording was wind noise. I tried top up one time to get better sound, but the shade caused the auto exposure to go too bright.
I put a goodwill racing sport cat back exhaust on and I love it. I think at the time of the video I still had the stock exhaust. The sound on the video is coming from the cold air intake not the exhaust. Those cone filters allow the growl from the 1.6 to be heard. I made my own cai similar to the racing beat one.
1:22 Nice save!

Props for catching that spin. BTW, Why on earth do you have the top up?
I always put the top down when autocrossing, even when its raining! I feel so cooped up in there and my helmet hits the top if it's up.

What caused you to spin? Are you using stock shocks and suspensions?
TheJman808 2 years ago
yeah they're stock but I would attribute the spin to driving, I hit that part fine the other runs of the day
