i just downloaded it today. Cant get past the main menu. When i press "Play", a small black screen appears and a window saying "Oblivion has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." appears :(

you need to upgrade the ram to 2gb then install a bios update then it allows you to run the cpu at overclocked speeds with hotkeys to enable or disable it :D

i have the white one of these ant it nearly outspecs my presario cq60 :D

it even runs alein arena which is a free super fun online game

I use fs9 and get about 19 fps, with medium settings. about 13 fps in FSX (yes, FSX!!!!) but with no autogen. Bottom line? yes you can!!! graphics detail is not so great, considering that the intel gfx card doesn't support antialias.

Half Life 2 will only work in certain areas. When get into any type of combat or large landscape then the frame rate drops to 2-3fps

Nah not compared to the other Netbooks. You have to remove the whole back plate. But it's not that difficult either. Just be careful :-)

How well does San Andreas work?

San Andreas work perfectly actually, but only in overdrive mode. I makes a great difference. When running 1,6 Ghz, it runs with some 20-25 fps in VGA. When running 2 Ghz, it runs about 30 in 800x600.

My Dell Mini 9 ran it like a dream in native resolution (1024x768x32), and the specs of the Wind are a bit higher than the Mini 9, so I'm sure it'll run great on it. I used the disc images and Daemon Tools to mount them.

Could you run Super Smash Brothers using Project 64 1.6 using the highest possible setting without lagging? If you won't run Smash on your Wind, I'll understand why, but that would be awesome if you could do this. I ordered an MSI Wind (US239?) from amazon Sunday night, and I would like to know if I can play SSB full speed.

Both use 1.6ghz Intel Atom processor and Intel GMA 950 for graphics, so there shouldn't be much difference between their performance.

MSI WindU100 recommended for you. The different between them is the graphic (Intel GMA 950) with Intel 945GSE (motherboard). The keyboards and + the variety of Spec are fabulous. You still can upgraded up to 2gb. *Most people thought "oh, maxed is 1gb". But they are wrong! That's because people didn't know about "Intel 945GSE" itself.

ASUS does not have the latest Intel GMA 950 which still current to GM900.

There's a software for Intel overclock. You can google it.

I don't think it will run CSS very smooth. In HL2 I got about 20-40 fps, and I wouldn't want to play CSS with less than 40 fps at any point. But if you're not too dependent on the fps, I think you'll do alright. I'll certainly try it out.
