Shame on USA, that they claim to be the MOST ADVANCED Army in world,,but they are unable to take down Taliban? (who are totally backward and have no technology)

i think usa should have taken over Afghanistan in just 1 year,,but its been 10 years,,and no success yet?

Actually USA Government's obligation to suck oil out of evey inch of this earth (no matter what the consequces).

its the governemnt envading privacy and interfering in internal matters of every country, which is creating (as already has created ) extreme hatred for USA in whole world.

i would also blame the common USA Citizens, bcoz they are doing nothing to stop Evil acts of USA in whole world, where there armies are killing innocents.

in Pakistan, they have done 192 Drone attacks?

The subtext here is still that Pakistani should be supported... as long as they work toward something that favors the US. As soon as the powers in Pakistan give a hint that they do not want to cooperate anymore, America will strike, with the blessing of every American in a position of power, McCain or Obama included.

Several conservatives today were making fun of Obama for pronouncing Pakistan as "Pock-i-stan". He's an elitest they say. At the 32sec mark...listen to the good general pronounce it the exact same way. The GOP is getting sadly desperate. LOL

Nothing new for the GOP though. They insult willy-nilly and they end up insulting the "troops" they claim to support with such reverence. Since supporting someone includes sending them to where they might be killed, why not mock Patreus? It's only wrong when a Democrat does it.

It does annoy me that if that's the way it's supposed to be pronounced, why when translated into the Latin alphabet do we spell it "Pakistan"?

Because many of the "a" sounds in South Asian languages are in fact long "a" sounds, just as in the way we say the word "garbage" which is also spelled with an "a". It should not be spelled "Pockistan" which some ignorant people are saying that's how Obama pronounces it- if you listen closely, he's saying the long 'a' sound not the short 'o' sound. Huge difference between the two.
