@MrFluffay legato is basically the term for "smooth", in guitar in means using hammerons and pull offs as much as possible to create that legato sound rather than the staccato sound of alternate picking

@MrFluffay There's no picking, that's the difference. Legato means you're not using your pick to make the string vibrate, you're only using hammer-ons (hitting the string with the fretting finger) and pull-offs (letting go of the string).

The key a song is in makes no difference to how hard or easy it is to play, its purely for tuning reasons.

On a piano maybe, but all the shapes for chords and scales are the same on guitar, regardless of the key you are in. You play a G aeolian, move it two frets up and you have the A aeolian, different key, no harder or easier, see?
