£12.50 to get an extra £1.00 for parking thats just taking the piss. The so called ammusment park an extra £1.00 per go, and to top it all off you get charged yet again to ride a barge in to the caves its just exstortion for a very dull and depressing place. ITS A RIP OFF AND NOT WORTH IT unless they incorperate everything in the £12.50 admittion fee, my advise to you folks out there is if you're planning to go "don't" unless you're made of money or have money to burn..
Cant comment on the entry costs, extra parking costs or the cost for the rides, but the boat trip in to Dudley tunnel isn't operated by the museum, but by Dudley Canal Trust, who were there before the museum was built and are a totally independant organisation. When you go down the ramp to the canal, you leave the museum grounds. Just thought I'd clarify that point.
never say to someone from dudley "you cum from birmingham dow ya i can tell by your acsent" cus brummy people ay from the black country and it pisses dudley people off wen somone says it to them
Dudley is not in Birmingham!!! It is a seperate area, just north west of birmingham called the Black Country. A totally seperate place. I have lived there all my life.
I stand corrected! Now that you have pointed out this mistake my wife has now seen it and is not impressed as she and her family are from there!!!!thanks a lot brandybuck, my life is hell now ha ha
Hehe! Not a problem! It's a common misunderstanding, I think I've spent most of my life telling people from outside the region that I'm not a Brummie! "Yam Yam" is the term for Black Country inhabitants coined by Brummies because of our tendency to say "y'am goin' here" etc! People from The Black Country call Birmingham "Brumajum", though I have no idea why! We have a friendly rivaly with them!!!!
I know what you mean I'm from Manchester and when I met the motherin Law for the first time she thought I was daft and deaf! Yam this and Yam that, I had to keep asking her to repeat herself for ages. We live in Brum so our kids are brumajums I guess!
the last time i went to the black country museum was about 20 years ago!! went on a school trip there.
