Free Will cannot exist if God exists. Every single one of our actions, thoughts, and emotions happen only because of a specific combination of things within our nature and nurture. Obviously there is nothing to blame in a world where our most advanced nurture has limited effect on nature, and where we can never be sure how to make the perfect human in the perfect environment, let alone have enough resources to give that to everyone and thus can only partially blame our nurturers. But if there...
@MacabreManifesto ...is a God who knows how to make the perfect human in the perfect environment, and can do it, but doesn't do it, then he is evil. And however God starts out the world, in order for it to go through the way that it did until present day could not give us free will, but the illusion of it, since he already knew exactly how the events would play out when he created the universe.
i'm an atheist but you're wrong about induction. Any proposition about the state of affairs in the world (or universe) is possible as long as it isn't a logical contradiction.
Check out the Tractatus by Ludwig Wittgenstein if you haven't already read it. It's public domain and free on gutenberg (dot) org
You fail in presuming to know what God Almighty can attain to and what He cannot attain to by the methods He uses to attain to the Agenda He has not nor does He intend to reveal to you so you can sit in judgment on Him, while He continues to sit in judgment on You his creature to determine whether you any redeeming value for his mysterious purposes.
@DavidJohnWellman Thanks for making a series of videos explaining William Rowe's evidential problem of evil. There ought to be more atheist youtubers like you. :)
Did anybody else notice how this guy puts on a shit-eating grin every time he mentions something horrible? Or have I just been watching too much Lie to Me?
@jahvon171 Good for you. God Almighty inhabits Eternity outside of time and space and is not subject to the same laws of nature we are subject to, nor the same moral code; since He is the God of the Impossible and is able to fix anything He breaks or destroys or permits; whereas we cannot ~ so we are held responsible for whether we fit into an loving orderly existence or disorderly hateful existence.
Bro, you look like a kid I beat up in middle school. And you should probably get speech training instead of attempting to sound like an intelligent human being.
To start off by evangelical standards the Bible takes to say omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence. All knowing all powerful and all present. Not all loving. Now this still has no relativity to the argument.
E1: Lightning strikes a tree in a forest, causing a forest fire. A fawn is caught in this fire, and suffers intense agony for an extended period of time before finally dying.
Before i challenge this further and move on, I'm curious.. Have you ever thrown a fawn on a fire?
@TheBeastWithinYou I'm going to say you have not thrown a live fawn onto a fire. As forest fires would generally be quite hot, nerves would be destroyed and the animal would have died within minutes... What is an extended period?
Not to mention the entire aspect of justice in which the evangelical God is the supposed master of. Are beings that eat or kill other living beings in order to survive not capable of being punished? In end there are questions you must decide to answer, or guess
Isn't Rowe considered a supporter of the cosmological argument? And isn't he the guy that invented the term 'friendly atheism'? Just got done googling to make sure my memory was correct. I am now anxious to hear the justifications. off to video two..
@thereprieve He wrote a book about the cosmological argument, but he does not support it -- he argued against it in that book. He did, however, coin the term and the concept of friendly atheism, yes.
This sort of table of content should be in most videos, which are more than 10 minutes and about a specific topic, not pwnage. It's a great deal, because much isn't such interesting, as time is there.
DJW - I haven't even started watching this yet, but I already want to say that I love you and I want you to have my babies, and I'm not gay and even if I was I wouldn't fancy you. But I love you, for your intellectual tenacity! Put it this way, I would love to go for a beer or 5 with you and chew the fat. Now I'm going to enjoy your video.
You are incredibly boring

You've already failed. Without God there is no moral obligation or physical evil. Try again.

@ACallToHoliness LOL Looks like you're the one that fails. Try watching the entire series BEFORE even attempting a pathetic "critique".

@TheBeastWithinYou E1: you assume the fawn had no disease or had not killed anything in even its short period of living.
E2: you assume the man who had raped and killed the young girl was not punished accordingly, making it not permitted.
E3: You assume there are not future events which will harm more than help in accordance to the two "victims".
You seem to respond as if because it did happen it was permitted.
If I were to steal, and I was successful, was it permitted?
