  • Looks and plays like "Digger".

  • It looks slower than a real Atari 8 bit...

  • 0:39 OH SHI-

  • ROFL!!! Classic 8-bit

    BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

    crash! xD

  • @RedHeadRadulf83

    No, it's a reset ! ;)

  • better than Digger

  • There's nothing more fun than classic 8-bit arcade ports (especially using an Atari CX-40 joystick). Atari 8-bit Mr. Do is excellent - even better than the ColecoVision or C64.

  • there was a way to make the ball/weapon go crazy! You know, i dont completely remember, when it wandered around without hitting someone. Or cou could make it stuck on an apple or something and when the enemy ate it something happened, i dont remember!

  • Much better graphics and sound than any other home version!

  • Better than the SNES'.....?

  • I stand corrected.

The SNES version was much better.

  • SNES is emulated from arcade, so take that into account and is 10 years later ...

  • @dreamcastII

The SNES version was NOT emulated in any shape or form.

  • @gameguy73 read the review from digital press online - this is a cut and paste "Somehow, for some reason, even today, we still get emulations of 8-bit games on higher capacity machines with slow-down. And, although this emulation was programmed about ten years ago, we are still talking about a 16-bit machine running an 8-bit game. There probably is a reason for it, but I just don’t want to accept it. Slow-down is noticeable ..."

  • @dreamcastII Digital press needs to get a clue. The Snes was not capable of emulating the hardware mr. do ran on. It's not just a matter of bits the cpu can take at one time. Generally speaking you need a cpu running about 10 x the hardware you are emulating. Even if you could get just the cpu emulated it would run too slow to play. That's not even counting the sound hardware. Yes, you could use samples but, they would be muffled from compression. So no, it was not emulated.

  • actually I had privilage to play this game on Amstrad CPC 6128. Atari verion is much worse and I tell you that as atari 65XE user

  • top game but cetainly one of the longest to load up on tape - 15 minutes I think!

  • Mr Do! God, I forgot about this one! Really addicitve - loved this!

  • My 800XL is on the way! So Mr Do! here I come......

  • This looks like a great version! Played this a LOT on COLECOVISION, hope to get a Atari 800 XL someday, I will check this out then!

  • eu tinha apenas 7 anos

  • it actually wasn't as good as the arcade, due to the dimensions of the screen, it made it easier. It was a nice version , but tape loading time was bad... also who remembers microdeals rip off version "mr dig" , wasn't too bad.. Rita Jay? coded it.

  • i find it better than the arcade for that reason. most arcades were so hard in order to get more quarters. i love this version. :D

  • they did a later version on the snes which was the correct screen dimensions, because they altered it so much it made it a LOT easier. besides isn't a game supposed to be challenging ? haha.. we used to play shinobi in the arcade, on one coin.. took 20-30 minutes to finnish =)

  • thats a good game for an atari.

  • i have atari 800 XE and disk drive ang casette rtecorder i love Mr do, mr robot, montezuma rev....but i downloaded emulator atari on PC and i play in this game sometime in my work hihi...great time ...
