So sad in a few years from now people won't even be listening to this great wonderful music anymore....so sad for them, they'll never know what they miss out on..........makes me want toc cry thinking this
Thank you so much for posting this song. I grew up listening to this entire album - & know all the words to this song. It's a hard match w/Skeeter: her songs vs. her own story - both have held my interest - - & earned my admiration. I'm glad you posted this # - brings back great memories. Again - my thanks!!
My true life story in 1974.....I know you cried alot but i did not walk away..... a cup pf coffee changed our life forever......................You were uncontable for 3 years(without a word) and you came back just after my wedding announcement.....what should i do?
I love this old song and first heard it by The Wilburn Brothers years ago. It's a wonderful song for a duo. Skeeter was one of a kind and I am glad she recorded this one. We do miss her now. The classics are hard to beat. Thank you for posting. - Paula
Their are a few good country singers today, but none can compare with the ledgends . most of them sang and wrote from true life experiances. most young folks today cannot even begin to fathom the hard times people lived thru years ago! also to make it back then you had to have a great voice ,no fancy computers to doctor it up for you!
I agree with Lunagirl, all this is golden music that fate will never erase away! I love Skeeter and all she does.... wherever you are, Skeeter, rest in Peace
This song is very beautiful, it's good to listen to the message in this song. Her voie is worth listening to. She's such a perfect singer and i love all her musics.

The female Doug Sahm--or is he the male Skeeter? Silly comparison--but I love the way both throw their heads back and wail!!!

I don't mean this disrespectfully, but I think it's a shame that to be successful in country music today you have to look like a model.

I probably at one time have heard all of Skeeter's songs, but never managed to get her first album. Typical Skeeter magic.
