  • How about some Georgia Rae scenes?

  • Why is Detective Lewis Aiming an empty gun at 3:46..??

  • WMG really are buttheads.

  • @spirittammyk They really are. This was only taken down because of the song playing at the end, I believe (Faith No More). I'll have to take this clip down though sometime, I don't want to reupload it since my account is already in bad standing.

  • @easilyjaded2 It's just mind numbing at how stupid they are. From my POV, a lot more music could be discovered if they let the kids have fun with it, mixing their fave songs with their fave movie and TV shows, because we all know the radio nor MTV won't do it. I became a fan of many songs and singers because of fan made vids, Homicide montages ,and, Third Watch was another show that did the same, which I loved.

  • @easilyjaded2 It's up to you of course since it is your clip & account...but I actually think it would be great if you did leave it up. I think even without the audio you can still appreciate how intense and just plain awesome it is ;-) I still miss the Homicide...it was truly one of the best shows on TV.

  • hey, if you can't post the audio TAKE DOWN THE CLIP...THIS IS POINTLESS.

  • Not my fault, youtube took it down. Haven't had a chance to take it down yet. Thanks for your appreciation though.

  • This storyline seemed strange to me. Why did Mahoney kill that guy, personally, in broad daylight? He usually just had people kill for him. And why didn't Meldrick just arest him, seeing as they had video footage of the murder?

  • audio is down in case u didnt know, THANX

  • Yeah :( And it's all because of the "Faith No More" song that plays at the end of the clip.

  • Some characters who get thrown out are better thrown out b/c then the show can't kill them off.

    Kellerman lives on!!!!

  • I always believed Kellerman's shooting of Mahoney would've come up clean, considering he still had the gun in his hand, pointed in Meldrick's general direction. And legally, when he and Stivers entered the room and saw Mahoney pointing the weapon, they could've opened fire without warning and would've been justified in doing so.

  • Yeah, I agree. I think the shooting was clean, but the cover-up made it dirty.

  • Who cares? It is Luther Mahoney!

  • Anyone know the song playing in the clip?

  • Faith No More - Evidence

  • Kellerman is a hero, Meldrick and that bitch betrayed him... fucking traitors... they fuked up Mickey... Kellerman is large than life

  • well, the shooting was wrong. gun down, two guns on luther....Kellerman was pissed casue of the bodies and Luther getting off before...bad shot....i wouldnt shot someone like that...

  • do it again, Mikey!

  • Oops. I forgot to say thank you for uploading the clip.^^ Thanks.

  • You know I've thought about this a lot. The episode Deception completely blew my mind when I saw it and I felt like "WTF" about it. Kellerman shooting an unarmed man?? It seemed fundamentally wrong for his character but Mahoney still did have a gun, even if it was lowered. Theoretically he could've shot - even if it was unlikely. I miss Kellerman (and Cox - she was actually really likeable)!!

  • (Comment post 5 of 5) - I posted this over at ej2's Crosetti video.

  • (Comment post 4 of 5) - Kellerman was a terrific character and I just did not like the way his character was sullied by this mostly incorrect act. The program could have still squeezed just as much of the legal/professional career jeopardy and drama out of this event in the following season 6 even if it were a bit more morally "undecipherable."

  • (Comment post 3 of 5) - I think the better decision would have been to make Kellerman hold-off longer on discharging his gun until Mahoney had continued to raise his own a little higher in the direction of Meldrick (who was to the right of Mahoney and Mahoney himself was in front of Kellerman). Kellerman had already ordered Luther several times to drop his gun. Mahoney was in the process of lifting his gun slowly upward, even though the movement was possibly unintentional.

  • (Comment post 2 of 5) - As to the Kellerman Mahoney shooting, I always wished the Homicide production people would have made the shooting a bit less overtly wrong and a bit more unjudgeable as to its rightness/wrongness.

  • (Comment post 1 of 4) I very greatly appreciate the Homicide: Life on the Street postings you have made and are making.

The cogency of Meldrick's soliloquy about "we are taking on human desire with lawyers, and jailhouses and lockups...and human desire is kicking us in the ass" is easily missed. Sounds like this little bit may have come out of David Simon's book. I hope it did!

  • so OK, I'm kinda curious as to what everyone thinks, because I myself don't even know what I think about it. Was Kellerman in the wrong or not?

  • As Giardello will say later, he might have argued successfully before a board and beaten any charges if not for the false reports that he, Lewis and Stivers filed.

Interesting to note that the slide was back on Lewis' gun after he fired the warning shot. He was out of bullets anyway.

  • So nobody went to jail after that shooting?

Btw, Luther was my guess going to shoot at them anyways. I would shot him in the leg tho, and made sure he went to prison for life. Either way he is going tho lol.

  • no, no one went to jail, in the next season the truth was found out and Kellerman was forced to resign from the police department tho

  • Erik is an amazing actor. His mouth litterally snarls

  • Luther Mahoney one of the baddest guys of Homicide: LOTS during the show's run. I bet Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco of General Hospital) would shoot Luther down like trying to shoot Manny down. Homicide: Life on The Street and General Hospital Rocks!!!!

  • Luther Mahoney one of the baddest guys of Homicide: LOTS during the show's run. I bet Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco of General Hospital) would shoot Luther down.

  • Luther Marcellus Mahoney was one bad dude, but his sister Georgia Ray and nephew one named Nathaniel Lee better known as Junior Bunk was even more evil.

  • Goodbye Luther. Possibly one of the greatest TV villains ever.

  • Funny how Meldrick kicks in the cop car window in Homicide like Bodie did near the end of Season 4 of the Wire.

  • I believe this is the episode that inspired "The Wire". David Simon came on this season of Homicide as a producer.

  • I noticed that his gun was empty when he was holding it a mahoney

  • One of the best ass whoopings ever on TV

  • That guy was always a great actor. I don't even know his name but yeah. The guy with the ponytail whose yellin (lol)

  • Erik Todd Dellums.

In real life his dear ol' Dad is a US Congressman.

  • Ha! Isn't that hilarious. It's so crazy that nobody in Hollywood recognizes his talent. That happens with so many black actors. For example, Terrance Howard has been around for YEARS before he got accepted by the "mainstream".

  • BeautyU2U, Care for more halarity? Remember how some people argued that the Huxtatbles (the fictional family of the Cosby Show) weren't authentically "black"? Remember Geoffrey Lewis, Dr. Huxtable's son-in-law? In real life *his* dear ol' Dad was also a US Congressman.

So, would somebody *please* tell me:

    R the Huxtable's "really black"?

    Is Mr. Lewis "really black"?

Is Erik Todd Dellums "really black"?

    Is 'Luther Mahoney' "really black"?

I'm white, but I try to keep it real

  • Actually that wasn't the point I was making. I just meant that sometimes it takes longer for black actors' work to be appreciated. Hell, for ANY lesser known actor with just as much talent as "A" list celebs do.

  • Man, Homicide was the best! Look at Terri jump when Mike shot Luther, I'll bet you anything the producers didn't tell her that was going to be in the script.

  • I have named my computer after my favourite actor role Luther Mahoney. I miss this TV serie. I hope to see Eric Todd Dellums in a leadrole in the future.

  • Luther Mahoney... man he was the greatest television bad guy. He was literally the sole reason why there was much more "RED" on that bulletin board than there was "black."

  • This one is a classic, 5 stars :)

  • No doubt.
