Plus this is not just a browser, It a smart browser when talking about smart.. It like it like it own operating system. @raulherrsc Complaining that you can't use your chromebook when the internet is down is like complaining you can't watch tv when your cable is out. You're always going to be online wither through the wifi or built in 3g. Or if you already have a 4g android phone that allows you to create a mobile hot spot, you will almost never be out of connection. And even if that isn't enough for you, just cache some of the apps that you would use like Google docks for writing or angry birds for a game.

@shaditochaos I don't think so, with their might and size they might push the development of much better 3G and 4G technologies, better coverage and in turn better value data plans with more data per month (or even unlimited). Of course, it may just not be adopted by anyone except fanatics and curious people - it's hard to call. If Google Music Beta comes to Europe it might become way more viable.

I can get some random netbook and and boot some low-resource GNU/Linux distribution. Get to access my local files and not be tracked by Google, for cheaper. Safe and Reliable too.
