How remarkable this child is in many ways - her vocal talent is immense; she's a beautiful girl; she's very kind; she's very intelligent. Jackie is the whole star package and the world is falling in love with her. This last year has been incredible for her. She's now selling out concert halls across the country with many standing ovations, and making platinum and gold CD's.....all while going to 5th and now 6th grade school!

I am awestruck by her voice. Most beautiful voice I have ever heard and to think she always came in second in these talent contests. Course now at 11 she does her own solo Concerts. She just did one in Sun Valley Idaho and has 2 coming up this weekend. pretty good stuff for an eleven yr old huh?

@MrFrank31088 Believe it or not she never has won one. She lost this one, then lost David Foster's competition, then lost AGT. But as Omg said she has got the last laugh over all the winners. She's internationally famous with a great career ahead of her, and they are...well...not.

But singing here in Italian and showing off that beautiful voice it's a crime she didn't win this one. The producer should be ashamed of herself.

@dieseldog00 This particular event is not an actual competition for Jackie, if I'm not mistaken. . Just performing at a Talent Quest event. It was a year earlier she competed in Talent Quest.. Are you certain she never won any competitions? I believe she was in many more than what is shown on YoutTUbe.

@crr1950 Well that's what I read on these competition videos. Those people could be wrong though. I'm from Texas not Pennsylvania so I have no first hand knowledge of her past history in these shows. One thing I do know is, she loves the stage and she loves singing for the people. :) Which is wonderful for us. But let's give Jackie's mom big props for taking her daughter to all these shows and competitions, honing her skills for the big breakout AGT show.

I think a deal was made to have Jackie finish second, because it would not be right for a 10 year old to have a daily Vegas gig. I have 3 reasons why . Jackie's best Youtube video has twice the hits Grimm's best has. Jackie is not performing in most AGT tour dates .Talent scouts, record execs, AGT owners and her family know that Jackie will far exceed the AGT prize(Perhaps she got the $ anyhow)or any contestant on AGT.

The contract was signed months after the AGT contest finished. My point was that Jackie and her family must of been assured of a Mega deal before hand , one that far exceeded Grimm's, which included his first place win's $. With special privileges, like appearing in a 1/3 of AGT tour's dates and bypassing the Las Vegas gig which does not match her age, nor is it big enough for what her stature is today.Simply said, the Las Vegas gig was not created for a higher person in mind .

Word is the Evancho's were big on David Foster and shoe-horned him in some with the SYCO deal which Cowell had levarage on in letting her out of the full AGT Tour commitment. Foster hasn't an exclusive; he's not producing her Xmas 2011 album -- Rob Mounsey is.

Jackie's talent is truly a gift. I am sure, had she sung this song or "Think of Me" should would've won on AGT. There was probably a collective groan when she sang "Ave Maria." Its not that the song was beautiful and she sang it perfectly, it simply was not the right song. Singing the hardest is not always the best, AGT is not that kind of contest. She needed to sing a song that was less religious as she had already sung "Pie Jesu" which is very religious,

How can any sane person say anything negative about this girl? And the idiot's who claim she is lip syncing evidently didn't take the time to view her performances before AGT. Try to remember, the only talent most girls her age have is dressing up Barbie dolls. Susan Boyle came in second and and hardly anyone remembers who came in first and look where she is, so I don't think Jackie Evancho has anything to worry about. And people without talent are not invited to perform at Carnagie Hall.

@BritneyLuby I'm an old country musician. I've never been very fond of the genre Jackie's voice seems to fall into right now, but her voice transcends all of that.

She has the sweetest voice I have ever heard. Male, female, young or old, she is my favorite singer of all time. I could listen to her Ava Maria endlessly and never get tired of it.
