  • I have a macbook pro 13 inch and my baby accidently threw a steel figuring in were my key board is... THe only thing is im glad that there no damage in my macbook but i have A deep mark in were my keyboard is. u know the case (outside were my key board and mouse) It hit the side and i wannt to replace.. but can i replace it?

  • @mymyxhoney - You'd have to replace the whole top case and keyboard assembly, but yet, you can do that.

  • I had my macbook pro destroyed by a liquid spillage.. and now the authorized service center here in my country told me that I needed to change my logic board which costs for about PhP56,000.00 more likely $1200+ (PhP cost I live here in the Philippines).. Do I really need to replace my logic board? 'Cause when the time we tested it at the center.. He just told me that the Processor isnt working well coz he diagnosed it with a sluggish perfomance...

  • @LoveStonedo5 - The processor is on the logic board, so if that is indeed the problem, you will need to replace the board.

  • @PowerbookMedic ok thanks.. but would I be spending that amount of money? I mean would the logic board itself could amount to $1200? Because for me it's too much..

  • @LoveStonedo5 - On a brand new board, you would be spending that amount. We sell used boards on our site for significantly less however.

  • @PowerbookMedic Hi.. can I ask how to check the apple part number I need? I have the Macbook Pro 13.3" Mid 2010 model with core 2 duo processor.. and as you said earlier the processor is on the logic board so can I upgrade my processor to core i5? like the one in the early 2011 model?

  • i fixed the LED Light Problem, now it won't recognized wifi or bluetooth. where is that on the motherboard?

  • lights on my keyboard won't turn back on, what cable is the keyboard lights?

  • @Dean129012 - You'll likely need to replace your top case.

  • so how much does a new one cost. mine broke

  • @konabiker13 - Generally around $400-500 or $300 to repair a broken board.
