  • Is it hard to build with in a Antec Skeleton?

I want to build a really kickass pc, With best CPU, GPU, RAM and so on, But I dont know if all parts will fit.

    Can you help?

  • @AlexanderPews Cable management was the hardest thing. The small version doesn't allow for a big variety of parts to use.

Basically just a mini ITX board and a low profile CPU cooler.

  • Hey there, can you tell me what you think of this htpc im doing:

GA-E350N-USB3 mini itx all in one (onboard cpu)

    Onboard ATI Radeon 6310 graphics

    4 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz ram

    320GB Seagate hdd

    and the antec mini skeleton.

Do you think this is a good combination??

  • I've finished ordering all the parts for mine, its going to be a pretty dang capable mini gaming rig! I've got an AMD phenom II x4 3.2ghz quad core processor, an asus mini-itx motherbaord, A Radeon HD 6570 video card, and 8gb of ram. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE NOW IS WITH THE POWERSUPPLY. QUESTION, HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO FIND A POWER-SUPPLY POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SUPPORT YOUR RIG? (Because the skeleton only comes with a 90 watt power supply). Thank you so much for this video and your amazing help!

  • @mitchjorg I'm using the 90 watt psu that came with it. If you need more than that I'm not sure what to tell you.

  • @mitchjorg you would jsut have to mount the power supply externally

  • @kronicismygame I ended up using a 400 watt external "micro atx" power supply. I've also mounted a full size graphics card in that thing ( a Nvidia Geforce GTX 260). I can run any game, at full detail, very nicely. I love having such a small beast of a gaming machine haha lol :)

  • You have seriously inspired me to build one of these. Amazing video and Beautiful computer! Question, do you know if a mini-itx compatable video card would fit in this case?

  • @mitchjorg it came with a bracket to use for small form factor video cards. You just can't use one with a big heat-sink.

  • Hey Can This Case Fit A ATI Radeon 6970...Im Build A New Rig With This Case He Is My Spec [case] - Antec Skeleton [motherboard] - Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 [CPU] - AMD Phenom ii 1075T 3.0ghz Six Core [PSU] - Corsair AX850 850 Watt [Video Card] - ATI Radeon 6970 [Memory] - Corsair XMS3 8GB DDR3 [Optical Drive] - LG Blu Ray Burner Hard Drive] - Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB [Hard Drive 2] - OCZ Vertex 2 90GB Solid State Drive What Do You Think About My New Rig Im Gonna Build
  • @RechargedMedia I think you are thinking of the full size Skeleton. This is the mini. You can't fit much of anything in the mini. lol

  • Comment removed

  • @RechargedMedia no, it doesn't have the room for a big video card or psu. It uses an inline 90 watt psu like a laptop has.

  • @davidemathis how did you painted this case do you have to use a Rivet tool and what kind of paint did you use

  • @RechargedMedia No special tools needed. Paint was an automotive spray paint at Autozone. You could use any basic spray paint as long as you primer it first. Krylon Fusion would be the best.

  • Hi there. I am looking to build a computer for web browsing and some word documents. I was wondering id you experience any difficulty with the 90 Watt power supply. Does the 90 Watts slow your computer down?? Thanks

  • @computerpingu This machine is used as a media PC in our living room.

But I run movie files averaging in sizes of 4-6gb, 1080p resolution with 5.1 audio from my servo to it and it feeds to a 52" TV via HDMI with no trouble. It also plays videos on Hulu, Netflix and other media sites.

I have also used it to rip back up copies of Blu-Ray movies... haven't had a problem yet.

  • @computerpingu Power supplies aren't what would slow a computer down. Power supplies do exactly what they sound like they do, they supply power to your computer's components. If your power supply is too low to feed all of your computer's components, the computer will simply not power up... if the power supply is sufficient, the computer will power up and run as fast or as slow as your other components allow it to (graphics card, processor, ram, etc.)

  • I love this case, you should get the mesh kit for it.

  • @Php48 I don't think they make it for the small case. :(

  • Can i put my glass of water on it?

  • @xingatumatii why would you want to? lol

  • Sick!

  • what other colors does it come in?

  • @KlingonSpider It only comes in gray, I completely disassembled the case components and painted them.

  • looks awsome bud . Perfect them for that case

  • @cisco760ca Watching a movie on it right now. ;)

  • @davidemathis no im pretty sure youre posting a comment

  • @cisco760ca thank you, it just seemed like the right theme to do.

  • @blahblahblaha1a2a3

The hell are you on about kid? It's an awesome case in terms of build and usability. Granted it may not be for everyone, its more suited for people who work with test benches. But for what it does, it's fucking brilliant.

  • Yep, standard 2.5" laptop drives. It can hold two inside of the case next to the DVD drive and comes with brackets that allow you to mount two more on the sides of the case.

  • question about the hard drives. will standard notebook 2.5" work ?

  • Sorry gordyjordy, not going to fit your needs. Power supply is only 90 watts. It is pretty much a laptop power supply, it has a block in the wire and then there is a small voltage regulator board in the case. Really nothing that you can do to change the PSU. It won't fit any full sized cards either, I couldn't even get my low profile video card in it (the heat sync was too big). This thing is small, very compact.

  • hi i am thinking of getting one of these cases but i need to know about the power supply . can it be upgraded ?

i need a at lease a 400w or 450w . i have herd that the psu in bilt on

    these are my specs

    mini skeleton

DFI LanParty MI P55-T36 mother board

    intel core i7 870 2.93ghz

    4gb or 8gb ddr3 1333mhz ram

    nvidia geforce gtx 295

can you help with the psu problem .. ow and also can i fit the graphics card in this case .. a full size one ?

  • I did have the fan on the highest of the three setting when I took the video...

It's not as perfectly quiet as I would like, but it really doesn't make more than just a little whir. Once you turn the TV you can't hear it at all.
