  • thanks so much this helped loads :D

  • If he knew so much about Final Cut Pro why didn't he edit the tutorial to remove the loading time...

  • I want to see the two tracks at once, so when I record two things with the same background, I can mix them into one.

    How can I do that?

    Thanks

  • I love you.thank you soo much

  • I find it a bit ironic that you work on tutorials for finalcut but you don't cut out the rendering time from your video when there's nothing being said or going on.

  • Could not figure out how to do that! I feel pretty stupid now, haha.

    Cheers!

  • Thanks man, you really make things easier.

  • haha he hates his channel so bad.

  • Add me in your Box 4 box and I can add you tonight. Message me back to let me know.

  • watch?v=I3pvPMh4prM

    awesome blood effects

  • Thanks!

Question - you know how some videos/movies have a scene, then another scene comes in from the left or right to fill that half of the screen? At this point, there's two separate scenes playing, one on each side (left and right) of the screen. Is there a way to make the layered video on top slide in from either side?

  • @Maiapare All about keyframing mate! Start the keyframe with the picture out of the viewer But touching the video in view. Set the keyframe for both, then move them to where you want them to end up and at what point in time you want them to end there, then keyframe that.

  • 'You know I could edit this out, i just can't be arsed' LOL :D

  • great vid but you need a better mic, im soz...

  • Great. Can you do it with more than one clip?

  • HAHA LMAO 2:19 'you punks out there' . :)

  • I can't stand Final Cut Pro! Nothing like AVID!

  • I love your accent. Marry me please ^_^

  • Just a tip... Drink a coffee before you make your next youtube video... You almost sent ME to sleep!

  • Hi there, please i need help with FCP 7. I downloaded the software and it was working fine, but i came home to realise my mum moved the FCP 7 to trash, i removed it from trash, clicked on it to open, and each time i do this comes up:

    Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly

click reopen to open the application. This report will be sent to apple automatically.

When i click on "re open" the same thing keeps coming up PLEEASE HELP!

  • Excellent - thanks for the help. My only criticism would be to show a little more of the screen and go a little slower. But very good stuff. Thanks, I plan to check out more videos by you!

  • Very good tutorial.

  • i have a video of someone jumping out the way and another of a car driving past in the same spot how do i merge that all together to make it look like the man is jumping out of the way oof the car?

  • how do you overlap videos and like add fade effect with glow?

  • really helped :D

  • thank you so much for this! it really helped!!

  • yes man very good help! thanks

  • In the File Section of Aries-Films you can download everything you need to create your videos and go even further. Just google for Aries-Films

  • what is the version of ur final cut,.,... ahhmm.. i don't know what to download among those final cut pro's

  • when i put my vid in the timeline and tries to play it, it says unrendered on the screen. then i click on the video, then sequence and then i render it. then it works, but if i move the clip it says unrendered again! what should i do?

  • @metalrr5 if you render and move or make additional changes it will need to be rendered again

  • this shit is confusing, I followed your exact steps but when i minimize my picture, there is nothing in the background!!!

  • Sods: mean people who take it in the ass. Audio on the commentary is dreadful!!!! get a freaking popper stopper - or in your case - a pooper scooper cause this tutorial was SHIT!

  • wtf why are you talking about punks, good videos though

If you stop ranting then it will be fine

  • that renders like a bitch

  • i am no RUFFIAN! HA!

  • what tool do you use to make the video using the screen video?

  • This video makes me feel sick - you shake the mouse way too much. You dont need to have it zoomed in all tbe time-

  • I couldnt work with Tiger and FCP. How can you do that ? :D You must wait for ages then :D

  • Thanks!

    :o)

  • Finally a vid that made me understand!

  • that was awesome - thank you

  • Hi, I am new to Final cut pro 5.0. I have a question about how I can lower the rendering time of the video. The first time I rendered a 3 min mpeg4 video on the time line it was done in 20 sec and then when I tried the same thing again, its taking 25 min! I don't know if I made any drastic changes. Do you have any suggestions?

  • Which program is good for a slower computer like mine? Premiere lags my computer like crazy.

  • Thanks bloke..nice to know guardian angels like look after lazy punks like me..i can sleep well at night..Is it hard to make a effect like these pip swirling around a fixed stationary object? like a merry go round look? thanks again..

  • I read your comment on the qualitl of your mic thought I'd share a word of advice brother, keep the mic below your mouth to avoid blowing right into it or secondly you can use some sort of a wind-shield by placing a piece of foam or some sort of sponge on it.

All the best bro. Good work.

  • You can make a great pop shield for very little money - using a coat hanger and a woman's nylon stocking.

Just bend the coathanger into a circle, big enough to pull the stocking tight when you pull the stocking over it. Then pull the stocking over it. Voila! Cheapo pop filter - and they make a huge difference, so you definitely should always be using one.

  • is this on regular imovie hd

  • final cut pro

  • lol, no

  • I say if it wasnt for all the tutorials i found threw out Youtube I dont think i could sit there whipping threw every book FCP has thanx so much...;)

  • Could that also be part of like a menu, you know when like you get to the video and you can see which part of the video you want to jump too and they have the little video icons on the bottom..is this the same way?

  • Sony Vegas is VERY easy to get used to, and the previews of the effects are nice. However FCP seems more powerful and professional. Really it just depends what kind of computer you have.

  • Dude. Sorry about all the work you have to do.

But I'm glad there are people like you how do this.

It's a lot better than reading the manuel.

So thanx =] the cloning effect was good.

  • that looks like an old version of FCP

  • Thank you! I used to use Sony vegas and I'm surprised how similar these programs are :) :P

  • the siblinces is driving my CRAZZEY!!!

  • Dude you need a pop filter on your mic!!!

  • When they invent pop filters for cheap $11 USB headsets. You let me know okay :)

but have u ever lived in South Africa before by any chance?

  • This guy is amazing!! Ive seen only a few videos and I can do 10x more than before. Keep it up. We should start a donation fund for him.

  • Thanks. I've barely done anything here really though and what I have has been really rushed and unplanned. It would be tons better if I had the time or inclination to do more. I want to clean up this channel and make it less half-assed when I can.

  • I take it your a freind of his lol

  • wow, need to work on not breathing so much into your mic. It really takes away from what you are doing.

  • or the sod could invest in a proper mic

nice tutorial, i've just started using FCP

just wondering, if there a way to place all the videos on the same frame in different layers? (something similar to alpha channeling i think it's called?)

  • yeah you can, just change the opacity of the clips in the layers so you can see them overlapping.

  • hey thanks for showing us what you know. there is one thing

I would like to tell you make sure that when you're speaking into whatever mic your using that you use a pop filter so that your p sounds are not popping on the voice recording...

  • Great video, very helpful thanks. :)

  • thanks for all the info that comes from these vids. they're really helpful. =)

  • Is layering video possible on IMovie?

  • No. Not in the strict sense.

  • No no! No time wasted for this punk ruffian from Brussels! What could be so bad about a few laughs : ) Nive speaking voice btw! Thanks a lot for this. I learn best visually so this is way helpful for me. Funny how I can do some ok vids w FCP and still be an ignoramus on some basics... Like keyframes for example! Guess they're some easy way to set in n out points... Thanks! Can't wait to put this to use.

Lazy bones in Raincity, Belgium : )

  • Thanks - I don't have the software, but each tutorial I watch broadens my editing horizons.
