Dude, its not employed in secret, people can do this stuff at home. If you use a tesla coil instead of this weak induction stuff, you can do this from larger distances. I've lit up a CFL from two feet, and if you want I'll tell you when I post the vid. Learn how to use RF frequencies in an air core resonance transformer instead of wasting your time on conspiracies, such as employing hundred year old technologies in secret when everyone with a brain knows how to do it.

I am scared if it's radiative. However if it's enclosed in a field (say magnetic field), then it's OK.

If it's radiating (i.e. using antenna) then the have to fill the whole space with such a large amount of rf energy that has to be continuously supplied regardless some devices use it or none.
