@buymeadrink43 your're absolutly correct some carfaxes can be incorrect thats when you have to use common sense and good judgement. Most carfaxes will be missing some small details but its highly unlikely they miss major ones. If someone knocks the mirror off backing out of their driveway who cares thats nothing. Lets be real who is going out and buying all the parts to a major wreck and fixing a car in their garage and if they are you will definitely be able to tell. Reputable dealerships have
I really like this video, you forgot to say check to make sure all lights come on when you first turn the car on. Some unscrupulous dealers will unplug lights. Again, very good video.
How bout just get a carfax. That would tell you all the major details that you need to know about the vehicle and if the person or dealer you're gonna purchase from cant furnish one then chances are you probablly shouldnt purchase that vehicle.
@mrgoodbar216 Carfax is inaccurate in most situations. Not all accidents/details are reported to carfax. For example, a car could have crashed, then the owner decides to buy all of the parts himself and then put them on, carfax would never know that happened. A dealer could do the same thing as well as long as it's not a major collision that isn't worth fixing.
