great point. the rally itself was good and the passing shot was actually pretty sick. but what makes this point so ridiculous is that fed makes it look disgustingly easy. like a morning jog, or a walk in the park. we all know that what he did in this point is anything but easy.
Amazing Federer, 0:11 so relaxed, he was playing with him. He needs this kind of confidence in his game against Nadal and murray, and he will win Monte Carlo Masters.
Sacramones performance was terrible during the olympics and was the reason why Team USA lost. With that kind of performance and still made it to the national team, I wonder how many coaches did she have to sleep with in order to get the spot. Her ass is so fat, I think her ass is at least 20 pounds extra compared to her teammates. That was why she brought down Team USA. Stupid bitch should go to Jenny Craig. Alicia will go down as the worst, and most disgraceful gymnast in Olympic history.
Jets: You must understand that Tennis IS civilization! That is, the sublimized resolution of conflict. Therefore it is no surprise for me to reference BOXING precedents - since Tennis is "double-sublimated" (no actual contact), while the cruder Boxing is only "single-sublimated" (small amount of blood). Thus Boxing Revolutions preceed Tennis ones. The news is the PLANTING OF VIRUSES by the jealous Ind/Mil combine. Note how many UNFINISHED matches this year at AO!?!
You Fed fans refuse to see how Murrey Demolished his ID 3 weeks ago! Modeling himself on Roger, at a crucial moment he broke FREE! Now his tenacle (notice how he strokes his upper belly region now), CROSSED the net for the first time. Because he can merge with Fed, he can even control Fed's ARM SWING with the extended tenacle. Nadal's imbibing of the Yagi, gives the "Jaguar transformation" - something like Ali's "Lu-Lu-Land"; while Andy, is like Klitchko, who needs only ONE ARM to knock-out now!
Friends: The sport has reached the "Russian Army Storming the Reichstag" stage! While Federer & Safin are still analyzing "strong & weak" points, the new players (Murrey & Nadal - & maybe soon Novak) are eliminating EVERYPLACE THE ENEMY MIGHT STAND - or run for that matter! "Strong points & weak points" are now ELIMINATED from consideration. Happens in every sport, the evolutions go into their final phases. Fed's game not changed, merely worked on "weak points": "over the hill" with Marat!
just go die PhotonDrive, Federer isn't "over the hill" he can still get the num.1 spot back asshole. he will get more slams, Pete and agassi did after their 30's. so stop saying "federer is num5 or how he's just a poster boy", cuz it's just a bullshit, you son of a bitch
It makes me depressed watching a greatest of all time piss-farting around because he knows the other guy is such poor quality. But then when you see Fed vs Safin etc it makes you appreciate how good they are.
hey fuck all of you guys who think fed is "over the hill now" and the time for change is here. "vamos rafa" blah blah blah. look at the new generation of players. they have a LONG way to go before they can rival fed's legend. 14 gs and counting. agassi won 5 gs after 28 so don't even tell me roger is too old. as for nadal, he is a fucking joke. he just tries really hard and is athletic. it takes more than that to match federer's class. he will go down in history as an all time great. LEGEND
Umm, well, i love Nadal and dont agree with what u said, i think he amazing but about Federer i totall agree, he is the man and no one present or past has quite matched or exceeded what The Fed has achieved. Although, he has 13 Grand Slams not 14. pete Sampras has 14, and thats what The Fed is trying to exceed and sooner or later, he will achieve that. But i agree no one on not even Nadal has matched Federer yet, they have a long way to go even Nadal admitted that.
No probs, i uderstand and im sick of it too! Its just bullshit! But as they say "Behind every succesful person, lies a pack of haters." The truth is, the peeple that say this, love him deep down, but they just cant believe how a man can be so respected and loved and be so succesful for all these years so they want to bring him down. They want to see him fall like hes a thing of the past. But the thing is, no matter what happens, Federer is a living legend already and nufing can change that!!

Sorry Possum, Fed is "over the hill" now, will be inspiration to children who still believe in hollow myths? Oz is hide-out for worthless ex Empire nuts who want to cultivate healthy youths. So like degenerate Romans! Fed is their corporate Poster Boy. East Europe & Latins are laughing them out of their "Bermudas". No time for Plutocrats to change style, like bizarre "Robber Barons". We must have energy change NOW! Rafa is the one who is doing it, not Fed.
Er, he'd already come in to the net. The no-look forehand went straight down the line and caught him off-guard; he wouldn't've known whether Roger would hit it DTL or cross-court.
I don't think Seppi anticipated that his lob was in. You could tell he was pretty much giving up the point, and Federer himself only hit it back after it unexpectedly dropped in.
that's just so cool. did you see how he played after the first lob?! he really made this rally it attractive and for fun, not just a crucial point. only federer..
OH YES!!... do you people realize he had NEVER played that shot ever?? personally I consider myself lucky to have seen him invent yet another shot. So acrobatic... and still after winning the point he apologizes to seppi... such class... only Federer... only Federer...
I agree with you, but in this rally Federer used two shots from squash, both shots after the lobs. He made the rally fantastic because of this, that he is able to come with an unexpected shot. Another fantastic shot "borrowed" from squash Federer used in the semifinal match against Nalbandian a couple of years ago in the French Open. So yes, that is only Federer...
the invented shot i mentioned (i think it was never used before, but then again i'm not immortal) was the passing shot (in the end) with the nadal-like forehand and the leap, all together in one beautiful and skilled move. at least i never saw federer do that before... but please correct me if i'm wrong
He did something similar against Tsonga at Paris-Bercy in 2008 although the over-the-shoulder FH at the time was not the point-ender but nonetheless helped him get back into and eventually win the rally.

it was "surely" a great point but when federer return the first lob seppi was way too passive.
he should have gone to the net.
i don't say that he done the wrong choice but against another oppenent it would have been more difficult for federer to win the point.
therefore federer deserved to win this point.
