  • I used to stay up till the early hours on this game then had to go to work !!!

  • Nostalgia much? God I loved this game as a kid. It bordered on obsession.

  • is it possible to play this online and where ??? i used to love playing this game w/ my son when he was younger.. the most "violent" lol game I ever played.. a FUN game Jandy707

  • nostalgia!

  • google search -> Sega emulator, dowloand

google search -> Sega roms-> Jungle strike

    Enjoy!

  • "Alte Zeiten" *heul*

  • This was my fav game on mega drive its a straight up beast ... was next gen back then :)

  • In 1992 I played this. Back then it was like a simulator for me. I mastered it and conquered. Today I play Enemy Engaged with EECH mod. It is my simulator for now. Wonder what I will play when I am 60 years old :)

  • 1:21 Cue Kenny Loggins

  • better on the amiga ;)

  • I still have the PC Version somewhere.. This makes me want to Install it again.

  • After getting Sega Genesis, the Strike series got better with a Turbo Controller. Strafing was great with some damage (no lost lives). Think about making a strafing run on a VDA then doing a left (or right) banking turn before attacking from the VDA's rear.

Turbo control helps immensely for Campaign 3 & 4; ZSUs & Crotales are bad news while flying "square" turns.

  • i actually had this game on pc when i was little could never get past this lvl lol

  • I never understood what to do on this game when I was little, just went round and blew shit up instead haha !

  • Hey you've got great taste in games and i'm subbin coz you're scottish lol : )

  • good game but id perfer soviet strike on the playstation

  • This was one of the best games for the Genesis.

  • I remember playing this game when I had snow days off from school. Oh the memories!

  • This game is fuckin awesome. I remember playing it on my amiga. It is still great fun and the graphics have something that sticks you to the game. Love to watch all the games that I played as a child. Thx for sharing!

  • you know you guys can play this game for free, look in ROM files on google

  • back in the days where EA published decent crap nice.

  • Awesome! I loved this game.

  • i rem playin this game a long time ago i had to b 7yrs old at the time

  • I just bought a boxed copy of this and jungle strike. I used to play this when i was a child and i loved it. I can't play this for shit now though. I never actually played jungle strike until 3 days ago though.

  • Awesome game!!! So many childhood memories...

But the guy playing is terrible. I used to remember the exact missile count for all enemies. Both Hellfire and Hydra rockets.

  • Damn this is a total flashback. I wasted much too much of my life on this game. Great game.

  • this game was an integral part of my childhood, thanks for sharing!

  • is this the sega or snes?

  • i LOVED all the 'strike' games!!!!! damn that takes me back. those were the fuckin DAYS!!!!

  • Ubrban strike is way Better, Classic!

  • Between this game and Jungle Strike....there were some INFURIATING levels/missions. I'm sure I broke something in my room while playing these games.

  • Greatest game ever

  • Memories. I really enjoyed playing this game back then. I miss it. ^_^

  • I used to love the quick ladder, I just ordered this online, cant wait, what a classic this was.

  • definitely a picture of General Stormin Norman Schwarskopf

  • I could beat the game mostly using the chaingun. Turbo controller = super fast chaingun

  • "Unless you stop this madman he will start World War III, or even worse..."

That "or even worse" cracks me up. :)

  • Spent most of my youth on this :) ty for upload.

  • 7:22

    PWNED.

  • oh man... tis game brought back lots of gd memories to me when i was a kid.. 1 of my fav sega game

  • Brilliant game :) hard though, I completed level 1 and that was it lol

  • I only played urban and jungle strike, with jungle being the better of the two for sure.

Was this thought to be the best one though?

  • Nuclear Strike was just simply the best. I enjoyed this 1 but im afraid i was too young to remember much of it. I didnt get round to play Urban and jungle strike. Soviet strike wasnt too good imo.

  • The best of all was Urban Strike. Soviet Strike is second.

  • damn this takes me back. Urban strike was the shit!!!

  • omg love that game!!

  • this was like my favorite game for the mega drive. i wish they would remake this with 3d graphics and the view from a cockpit, but keep everything the same.

  • I have Desert, Jungle and Urban Strike all on original megadrive cart and still play em now. Excellent games. Never played Nuclear and Soviet Strike, were they any good?

  • I played nuclear strike on pc, it was good.. but my favourite was desert strike, one of the first games I had when i was 6 or 7

  • Yes. Soviet Strike was really good. Especially the third mission. Nuclear Strike had its moments.

  • Desert, Jungle, Urban, and Nuclear Strike was the shit back in the day. Especially Desert and nuclear strike.

  • i played all except nuclear strike

  • It's good, it's on the playstation. im sure you can find it on the shopping section in google for 8 dollars

  • you forgot soviet strike

  • I miss this game, it was great :)

  • I never understood how to play it when I was a kid. Now that I'm an experienced player, I go looking for this game, and it's completely lost. :(

  • Did you try ebay? I picked up the three Mega Drive games from there about a year ago.

  • I've seen plenty of carts at flea markets for cheap. I picked up both the Genesis and SNES versions for less than $5 total.

  • @DStroyU try a sega emulator, there are heaps out there.

  • @DStroyU game4win DOT kom it's a freeshare game

  • @DStroyU I have that game :)

  • I want to get this game it looks cool

  • This game was the definition of cool in the early nineties.

  • Yeeeeah...I remember playing this game on my brother's Commodore Amiga^^

But now, the first diskette signs an error ( ='[ )

I'd like to play it again...does anybody know, if there's a download somewhere? Would be great :)

  • if you want to play this game, why not download the "ZNES emulator". after that, download the Desert Strike Rom. if you've played the game many times, why not add some cheats in the ZNES? 01e59cdd = unlimited ammo.....0189bb2c= unlimited lives.....0187e900=unlimited fuel...00e6b264=guns like missles....0196ab14= alot of armor 1.....018a2814= alot of armor 2.............have fun!

  • Very nice^^ Thanks, man ;)

  • unlimited ammo and lives sucks, it ruins the game totally, just use the level passwords but that's it.

  • Just download FUSION 3.6 (SEGA emulator for PC), and google for the rom, it's very easy to find. coolroms

  • this game was hard.. i had trouble beating campaign 4 even with the 10 life code

  • hey why are you killing friendly troops?

  • I don't think I am, if I remember correctly, I picked up all the M.I.A's at the end. There's enemy ground troops as well.

  • i like jungle strike better

  • Well it's the sequel, so they had to have made improvements haha.

  • i think i like them both equally, and urban strike slightly less

  • Urban is probably just as easy as Desert but I didn't like the foot missions that much though. Jungle is the best.

  • Jungle Strike is prob my fave of the series since you could fly the Nighthawk. Desert Strike is a good game. I never liked the foot missions on Urban I always struggle on them

  • @Adunn88 - yeah I hated the foot missions too. Jerky and horrible. The rest of Urban Strike was ace.

  • Glad i'm not the only one that thinks the same :)

  • yup, and much more difficult

  • I would like to see the Sega Master System version.

  • Ah....back to the days of "proper" games! :D!!

  • Dude, you seriously go overkill with the ammo. You need to find a way to replicate the effect of a turbo controller, that way you could wipe out buildings with the chain gun and save your hydras and hellfires for hostile targets.

  • i remember using a turbo controller and kicking so much ass with the chain gun. this guy doesnt move very well and gets shot way too much. such a badass game :) old school baby!

  • funny... i could still remember where all the stuff was!

  • they have to remake this for 360. This game was awesome. The 2nd one had better graphics but the movement got me dizzy.

  • old stormin norman there! :D

  • i had a turbo controller, and that chain gun would rip it up. needed less missles....

  • Hell yeah man, I had one too. It would fire like 50 rounds, pause, then fire again; all in a matter for 2 seconds.

  • Yeah I had a turbo too, it was essential on the ammo save. Definitely a missile and hydra preserver in this game.

  • if only we were all as good as you...

  • i realize there's a typo in my last post, supposed to be ARMOR, just like to clear that up.

  • Dude, you really suck though. A 2 year old could do better.

  • any time you want to show me you doing a better job, i'll be ready to watch it

  • what a game, great fun and memories playing this.

  • Unless you stop this madman he will start world war III, or even worse....World War IV!

  • Old school!!!

  • 2.14: Cained the building harsh lol
