@dean2663 I am 15 and my family of 15 took a cruise on the nieuw amsterdam this summer. we are 7 kids and 8 adults. i found that it really is the best of both worlds. There were about 100 teens on the boat. but there were also elderly people, and young children, and families. there is a place for everyone and places for everyone to be. i love and miss it :)
I always get a room with a balcony. I'm sailing on this ship in December 2011. Eastern Caribbean. I'm very excited and this will be my 12th cruise. Holland America is my favorite line.
@fratelemeu Why what? Why Holland America? Because they have the best food, nicest beds, great staff and the ships are beautiful and clean. Why a balcony? Because I like to sit outside and have me very own private view any time of the day.
A very handsome ship with tasteful interiors, unlike the mega-ships with atrocious, garish decorating: Veritable Las Vegas' on the sea.
