  • can the motherboard do nvidia sli? im using it for my first build and im also using the amd 965 cpu

  • Im soo envious right now : {

  • wtf? you didnt even show us the inside :/ 0/5 starts

  • Chang the title of this video to what the person below said. You spent over 2 minutes showing your monitor an external casing. I'd sad that you don't realize that people watching your videos can press PAUSE and stare at your setup. I don't understand why you go back and forth between the monitor and the PC. 1/5 stars.

  • your build is scarily similar to mine

    nice work.

  • wow ur a chode. your video should say "gay case mod" not which board and chip u have, im sure 90% of your views is people looking for a review on the gd70. and dont be too impressed with ur "tv/monitor" ur not that cool, they have PC ports on EVERY lcd tv sold today.

  • lol exactly right my friend, i got suckered into this pointless vid thinking there was a review for the mobo

  • give the kid a break, the video wasnt that bad, as i recal the title video sais nothing about a review so that would be anyone's own fault. and i didnt recall him bragging about his tv/monitor, just stating that thats what he uses.

  • Nice build! I've gotta redo mine soon.. I love that GD70 mobo, but I'm reading a lot of mixed reviews on it.

  • What's the song called?

  • Paralyzer by Finger Eleven

  • Thx

  • How did you get Windows to run on a giant toaster? ;o) Nice setup.

  • Awesome rig man, and love the case, its sleek looking. nice wallpaper too ;D

  • love the desktop wallpaper!!! just like I love my 89 FLHS!!!! That's an awesome rig man

  • never mind i lied your done, hey i wana new computer the thing i have is old i have a store called fry's electronics i wana build my own pc im at a 500 dollars price range what is good for all my money

  • save to 1000 dollars ^^

  • hey I have the same motherboard and im thinking of getting phenom II 965 BE. I noticed the 955 is 120Wat but the 965 is 140W. Do you think this board can handle it? and can i OC?

  • According to Newegg. The board should handle up to 140W CPU. I want to upgrade my cpu and my cards. Before I do, I think I will wait for the new cards to come out. The 955 is 125W but it gets the job done but I want to overclock more and I want more out of my CPU.

  • where does the power and reset wires go [from Case to Mobo]

  • for this board, JFP1

power switch is second set on top. (+ -)

reset switch is right below it. (- +)

    power LED, power switch (top)

    HDD LED, Reset switch (bottom)

  • the 965 is a oc'd 955 so u chose really the board can handle it in oc

  • Looks good. Nice work

  • Thanks.

  • nice video and great song. What's the name of the song? I can definitely see, you are proud owner of that PC system.

I am looking ot buy 790FX-GD70, have you had any problem with that mobo. yet? Is that MSI mobo. better than other manufacturers' like Asus or Gigabyte?

  • No problems yet. Went on trip. Haven't finished overclocking system yet.

  • oh ok. thanks for the info. What's the name of the song?

  • I really like this motherboard. My koolance pump went out. It was used when I bought it. I should have just purchased a new one. PC is fine but I had it up to 3.6 Ghz and it was running so nice. It kept stopping on me and I dont want to burn up my CPU. I found a different pump and reservoir.

  • i dont think so. its a DDR3 board.

  • hey nice vid but i have a question

i want to build my first own gamer pc and i have the same mobo

can i use ddr2 ram too?

  • I am figuring out this motherboard also and trying to get all my setting correct.

  • what is your pc specs?

  • MSI 790FX-GD70 AM3 motherboard AMD Phenom IIX4 955 BE CPU 8GB DDR3 1333mhz AMD edition RAM (7 7 7 20 timings) 2 WD Velociraptors 300GB 10K in RAID0 1 WD sata drive 1TB for storage 2 Sapphire HD4850 1GB DDR3 cards in Crossfire enzotech waterblock dangerden xflow black ice radiator Cooler Master Cosmos s case LG blu-ray/HD combo drive windows vista ultimate 64bit 42" RCA tv/monitor 1080p 1000Watt Xion PSU all case fans are 120mm Xigmatek orange koolance pump/reservoir
  • forgot.

    OCZ platinum AMD edition RAM.

everything is currently running at 3.4 Ghz. i had problems with my overclocking software and was told to overclock manually instead. so i am doing that and still getting to the settings

  • the case looks truly amazing! nice work, thanks for the video!!

  • also, did you just buff or wetsand to?

  • I spray painted with Krylon (thick layers)

if I had flaws I would wetsand and then

used 3M rubbing compound and 3M hand glaze.

It is very hard for me to see how straight it needs to be..wetsanding..so you can see little waves. It came out okay but could be better.

  • how does the amd perform

? ghz to ghz to an i7?

  • I had to download about 80 updates to Vista Ultimate and I am waiting for my other two sticks of Ram to come in the mail on monday. I want to get them all installed and do a benchmark and see how it does. I really like this motherboard. Right now its at 3.2GHz. The coolings is going good and both my cards are at 45 C. and my system is at 35 C.

  • Still working on the overclocking.

  • It may not preform as great but for the amount of money it costs to buy an i7 at 3.33 u could buy an amd at 3.4 phenomIIx4 four times

  • yeah but if you were worried about budget just buy a 920 and clock it to 4ghz, job done

  • the new AMD phenoms are supposed to beat the i7 920 now. 965 AM3. I want another AM3 CPU if they get faster and I can just put in my board.
