  • hp's tx2z is a much cheaper capacitive touchscreen laptop. i have a tx2500z which has a resisitive touchscreen and i love it. great for drawing

  • i want one, the only thing im worried about is the screen. how do you feel about the screen?

  • One of my students has this as part of her school tools--it's an awesome device.

  • What if you use the pen and keep your hand on the screen while writing. Does it interfere with each other? I mean, when you normally write you don't keep your hand in the air.

  • the screen can detect the pen and only follow those inputs and ignore other sources of contact

  • "i can send you text"

OMG YOU CAN CTRL+C STUFF AND EMAIL THEM, OOH GOD THIS IS A REVOLUTION RIGHT HEEREE

  • Seems like an imitation of Apples multi-touch. But seems cools.

  • But... didn't this come out months before Apple unveiled their plans for Multi-touch? And isn't the Apple multi-touch touchpad only?

  • want

    so

    badly

    please

    make

    it

    cheaper

  • some of them going on ebay for $600 (at LOWEST) 800 average.

  • How fast is this technology compared with Wacoms Active digitizer.

For example Wacom have a certain milicond delay between human input and computer displaying the entry. Capactive tech, as observed from this video seems to be significantly faste than wacom's

    It this really true?

  • While you're at it, might as well check out the new Apple MacBook Air. It's 0.76 " thick. I wonder how thick that Dell tablet pc is? (Dell says it's 1". Apple wins again) Oh, and with the MacBook Air, you get the touchpad similar to the Apple IPhone gesture touch technology.

  • Um, the Macbook Air isn't a tablet PC. And who cares how thin or how thick it is? Most laptops in the ultra-portable range (such as the Macbook, Macbook Pro, and Dell Latitude) are thin enough as it is.

  • Like ejeon1985 said, just to add emphasis, the Macbook Air isn't a Tablet PC. and as long as it's portable it's fine. OH and another thing. Price Range. Not so good. MAC = something overly expensive when you can spend less for something else just as good.

  • I like this. When I'm travelling on a plane or train, I like to use that time for writing some of my books or articles. This will fit a lot better than my old note book, without me having to scrunch when the guy in front reclines his seat.

  • check HP pavilion tx1000z as well

  • I just think it's nice to see Clark Griswold working again :)

  • LMFAO

  • This product is WAY OVERPRICED and has nothing on the GATEWAY C-140X which is half to a 1/3 of the price...

  • I think that this is a grate proucuct and that it serces all other tablet pc s on the market right now and even those to come in the futer and even if you have to 2,500 to get it its still a good product because you get whatt you pay for

  • if umpc's could do that it would be a dream come true....

  • What they didn't mention is that this model holds a starting price of $2,500.

  • more around 1700 if you want a small HDD

  • wow! that just made me change my opinion about tablet pc's :)

  • Nice :)
