That's okay union boy,you walk around on the street and wave you're little sign. I'll go to work.Maybe when you get out of that union office you work in and stop swallowing cock underneath the desk you'll figure out what hard work is!
Sure danox, you will go to work, for less and less and less over time, you will help the millionaires get richer and live with less as time goes on. What a proud way to live, go get em !
I've been in a Union and it's no different than not being in one. the only difference is you pay a monthly due' then you turn around and another due is taken out of you're paycheck each week.Hey folks don't let unions scare you, stay away from them!
No diff huh? I guess you must have not been in the Union long enough to find out about the PENSION ? I am glad you are a scab worker , we don't need a-holes like you working Union jobs. You are the kind of guy like Norwesco's "117" that supply infromation to management, that offer to cross picket lines during negotiations, that threaten people in the Company who beleive in solidarity... Yeah, you keep working your non union job pal. In fact go to work for Joke Harbor Freight Lines .
Notice the first few words..You were in a Union...you couldnt deal with the seniority and having to prove urself worthy of the job so u quit or got fired or were at a job that didnt pay crap from the begining and ur ass was being carried by higher earners in different jobs in the same union..go back to ur non union job were u have no arguement...just a kick in the ass when someone grows tired of listening to u breathe..
Oh and there is no argument union or non union, you just get let go , or not called back . unless of course you're buddy buddy with someone who works in the union office, then you can get away with anything, that's why they say the unions are organized, organized to screw the guyswho try to go to work!
The Oak Harbor picketers won the right to block ingress and egress from this terminal for a period of 30 seconds, which was timed by both the strikers and the security guards , each time any vehicle arrived or departed. This interstate driver blew through the picket line and actually grazed the person you see in the black leather jacket. No professional driver in the world would ever deliberatly strike a human being with any vehicle much less a 35-40 ton tractor trailer.
The woman in the video you are refering to is a very pleasant, good hearted person who had the courage to stand up for what she believed. She did so in a way that I doubt you have ever done, or ever will do.
While the Interstate driver was wrong in his approach, the thinly veiled threats by the IBT just shows that the group as a whole is nothing but organized thuggery.
Its not the threats in the video, its the threats posted here to the video. Slowly but surely, Teamsters are being phased out of trucking in the new economy. Look at the trouble the YRCNAT is having with revenue. Starting down the same road CF did...
# 1 The Interstate driver actually HIT a person, what would you expect the reaction of others to be? #2 The Teamsters willingly agreed to take a 10% pay cut to help Yellow and Roadway. You want to talk about CF? Do you really know the true story? True story is in 1981, CF started "CWX" and slowly over time shifted their accounts over to CWX, the only problem the Teamsters had is they were never able to organize CWX, so CF won that one. Teamster jobs are fewer in trucking & look @ the result
If you will look at my above reply, you will notice that I criticized the Interstate driver for what he did. Counter to that, you dont just stand in the middle of a driveway, whether you "won the right" to or not. Maybe the Interstate driver was worried that the IBT would drag him out of the truck and beat him up for crossing the line, He was simply doing a job he was told to do, and had no part of "your" fight with Oak Harbor. Besides, I dont see the IBT trying to help him out at Interstate.
I did see the criticism, the driveway approaching that picket line is only 75 feet from the road, the Interstate driver pulled in and refused to stop, the picketers had very little time to react and were taken off guard, you can see that in the video. Several drivers who did the same thing were arrested for reckless endangerment, it was all on video tape from both sides. What would you expect to see the IBT do, to "help" out Interstate drivers?
Unfortunately, there are 2 sides to the coin during a strike. You have the strikers, and you have the people who have their jobs to do during the strike. I am not talking about scabs, but people like the Interstate driver who has a pickup or a delivery to make. I have seen IBT violence against people, and property damage before. Maybe the driver had nothing to worry about, maybe he did.
It would be difficult to organize Interstate for several reasons. #1 the drivers would have to want it, most drivers are either ignorant or "something" with regard to unions, even though it would be the best thing for them, #2 many Interstate drivers do not speak good english, so that is a problem. I think all trucking should be Teamster represented like it used to be 50-60 years ago, but it comes down to desperate/ignorant drivers being opposed to it.
Unfortunately, trucking is not really in a position to have representation. The powers that be have screwed it up so bad with irregular route carriers, and pay by the mile, that it would be neigh on impossible to organize any larger carrier. Conversely, the IBT has not faired well either, with regards to Conway and now Conway Truckload, and even with the battle with Overnight and Bulkmatic. And now with givebacks on most fronts, it is a bleak outlook. And the drivers will ultimately suffer most.
Overnite and Motor Cargo were purchased by UPS , and are now known as "UPS Freight". The IBT has successfully organized nearly all the Overnite & MC drivers. Also, I see an upswing in organizing in general, I think working people are finally realizing that giving everything to the rich, and then waiting for the rich to toss them a bone, does not work well. I think it is a pendulum to some degree. Time will tell as it always does.
why do you hate so much, we're all trying to make in this world with what we've got, im educated and a truck driver, the freedom out on the road i just like it, relaxing in my book. your comment is just ignorant. im not union and not defending union but if you are in a union job when the union says to strike you strike. you dont have a choice. if you cross the line you have to sign a paper you left the union, then you can work. BUT oh yes there is a but. after strike is over bye bye your fired.
also interstate is not a union job so why is he called a scab he's not stealing your job he's delivering to the compamy that your striking for. why stand in front of a moving truck stupid or something. ya i want to stop so i have idiots banging on my truck.
What a phucking joke ,you union PHUCKS. When people have lost their homes and are doing what ever they can to survive in these times today. Like working 2 and 3 jobs, with no health benies.Look at the video ,truck is moving and union dumbass walks in front of it.Typical I own the world union stupid.Would you do the same to a train? I hope all the Interstate drivers take your I dont to work to hard to make big bucks asses jobs. Then what r u going to do then.
Oak Harbor Freight had never had a strike in ninety years. These spoiled brats who got it from their dad are to blame. This was on of the better run and profitable trucking companies until these spoiled brats took over. It is the owner's greed that almost did in this company.
Hey XXpimptaddyone I did not know you were a 40 year old virgin still living with mommy and daddy. But you postings have proved it. Don't worry you may still get that part time job at Burger King. What a great first job!Good luck with your potty training also. :)
Wild! I am leased to a large company and have had to approach a picket line only once. At least I stopped my truck, got out and talked with the picketers and listened to their plight. I did not drive through people standing in the danger zone so close that I may hit them. They gave permission to go.Not all of us are ignorant nor uncaring. I have college and make 200k a year. Not your normal scenario I understand, but I am not blue collar trash like some like to think...Yes you pimpaddywhatever
101578.... Ok, well, If I were driving that tractor, I would check my fifth wheel every time I was away from my rig. I would also carry bolt cutters to clip any padlocks that mysteriously showed up on my back doors. I would also be ready to sit for awhile while other repairs were made. You absolutly do NOT cross a Union picket line, in that way. Period. OK, #101578... this is like.. Americas most wanted. Bad move driver.. you have a lot to learn and we will teacxh you. :-)
Tractor number has been recorded, it is a very small world.. any of you other truckers wish to do the same, . fine you will soon be in the same camp as the driver of this tractor. Think we are kidding, great, you will at some point understand what the "brotherhood" of the International Brotherhood of teamsters is all about....

I don't know, this looked like a flop to me.
The driver should have stopped, but perhaps he/she feared the picketers???
It's obvious to me however that the striker should have taken better acting classes!
