Let's face it. Anyone would rather watch man vs wild over survivorman anyday. Its more entertaining, more organized and it doesn't involve bad cameras or shit footage. I admire the reality survivorman presents but when i am at home watching these shows. I would rather spend an hour watching the entertaining and well-made man vs wild over a single person constantly switching between cameras.

I took survival training in the Navy and the first thing they teach you is NOT to drink sea water or your own PISS because the salt in it makes you more dehydrated and piss is about 45% salt and other harmful stuff. Piss is where your body filters out the stuff that's harmful to you, if you want to follow "bear" go ahead and see how long you SURVIVE. I sure wouldn't do the things he does. I want to live.

About Bear Grylls, while I have nothing against him, he does a lot of things aren't recommended for obvious reasons, such as climbing a cliff for a couple eggs, you expend far more energy climbing, it's much better dig through frozen ground to find some sort of edible fungus. He also eats while in need of water, which is also a bad idea, since it takes water to digest...
It's a better idea to be selective about your sources for survival info. Also, Bear only underwent regular, not SAS training.
To me Bear is such a seller of TV, and Les really wants to teach safety and survival. Bear wants to teach you how to jump outta planes and off cliffs into freezing water and thats not very practical in the wild i'm sure they are not fans of each other either. But To each his own of course. :)
