Okay... shouldn't the horn be put back on the unicorn before we see Jack jumping in the water? If you look closely, it is still winter/ snow all around when Gump puts the horn back on. Plus, it would make more sense that the reason why it is summer and Lilly is back to normal is because the horn had been restored. I think the main reason why it is out of sequence is because of the musical score.
There's another deleted scene in the VHS I have. It's where Jack cut off the water demon's head. They show that, but left out most of the conversation between the two. Where Jack was flattering the beauty(not) of the demon. He also asks ...you don't intend on eating me...to the reply.....INDEED I DO....
It is, beautiful movie. Sadly fairy tales like that don't exist, only in our minds which I find more fun. Hense my ability to daydream a lot...now I'm just rambling, :D
i heard that on first day on set one of the unicorns did a huge big steamy poop and they had to clean it up you cant have a unicorn with shit on its hooves lol
This scene is in the U.S. version of Legend. I personally like the U.S. version better because I hated that Lilly left Jack at the end of the European one instead of them going off into the sunset together.
I think it's best that the alicorn restoration remains ambiguous until you see it at the end of the film, as it already is in the director's cut. The music splice is also very distracting. The visuals were edited well, but to hear the same piece twice in a row is a huge detractor.
Agree about the music playing twice, but it fits the scene very well. I am currently undertaking a project to add back scenes from the American and European Theatrical cuts and adding it back to the 113 Director's cut. A lot of people seem to be interested in seeing this, given the patchy history of the film :)
Yeah, this is the ending I remember seeing when I was seven years old.

Yes, I do. Like I said, I hate that lilly left Jack in the original version.

You're right, that actually would seem very out of place.
